Tales of the Unexpected

Some intriguing news emerged on Monday - apparently, it's not only white people who can be guilty of racism after all.

Black England footballer Ledley King was arrested after a brawl outside a nightclub at 2.30 am on Sunday morning. He was refused entry for being drunk, and apparently kept asking the bouncers 'do you not know who I am?'

But assaulting the door staff whilst being incredibly vulgar about the ridiculous amount her earns and shouting obscenities was not enough.

One of the bouncers was Pakistani. Wahib Butt (right) was punched in the face by King (left), who then started calling him a 'Paki'.

He struggled with the other bouncers until police arrived and arrested him, as you can see below.

Assuming of course that the bouncers didn't make the whole thing up to get their faces in the papers, I wonder what the organisers of the 'Love Music Hate Racism' tour, backed by football related anti-racism charity 'Kick it Out' and the Daily Mirror will have to say about this?

Bizarrely, I've not heard anything from them so far.

In the spirit of the organiser's 'Hope Not Hate' message, I presume Ledley will be dipping into one of those £80,000 a week pay cheques he is so proud of and donating a substantial sum.

If he was white, of course, he'd have been sacked.
