A MAN has been charged after a town centre shooting.
Khalil Mohammed, 27, of South Street, Rochdale, has been charged with attempted murder after a 26-year-old man was shot in the leg on Yorkshire Street at 12.50am last Friday.
He was due before magistrates in the town this morning.
The victim was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

Still do not get it, so his name is Mohammed, does he represent Islam? You keep putting the link attached to it.
Rather like last year's bikie gang shootings in Sydney, were one of the leaders of the gang is of Shi'ite Iranian origin and another gang's leader is a Sunni - they dislike each other because of gang related crime control - so I guess you will put it under the Islam label as well?
You bet I will - neither of them should be in Australia in the first place. It has, along with all Western countries, creaed the problem it has with Muslim criminality itself.
