Robber Described as "Black or Asian" Stamps on Woman's Head

From The Yorkshire Post:
A 22-year-old woman needed hospital treatment after a man punched her to the ground and stamped on her head as she walked to work in Leeds.
The woman was walking along Beechwood Crescent, in Burley, when the man approached her and launched the attack before pulling her handbag from her shoulder and running off.

She suffered severe bruising and swelling to her head and face and was taken to Leeds General Infirmary for treatment.

The robber dropped the handbag as he ran down the street.

He was described as either Asian or black, skinny, about 5ft 11in, wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and a darker grey hooded top with the hood up.

West Yorkshire Police are keen to trace a woman who went to the victim's aid at the scene and a man who drove the woman home.

These people, or anyone else who was in the area and witnessed the robbery, is asked to contact Detective Constable Adrian Hogg at Weetwood police station on 0845 6060606 or Crimestoppers, anonymously and in confidence, on 0800 555111.
