Australian Sheikh Hilaly Bites the Hand That Feeds - Again

I have written here previously about the Egyptian-born cleric Sheikh Taj El-Din Hamid Hilaly, who now whiles away his days by being Australia's most outspoken, controversial, and let's be honest, truthful Muslim leader.

He tends to say what the vast majority of his flock have the sense to only think.

Here he is appearing on Egyptian television on Monday, talking about Australia and the good people who host him and fund his existence:

Yes, that's right - according to the Sheikh, Australians have 'no values', 'no freedom', and have no right to their country - because Muslims were there before Anglo-Saxons, and 'Islam is rooted deep in the Australian soil'.

None of that seems to prevent him enjoying their hospitality, however. Why he is allowed to remain in Australia is the only really puzzling part.

The hosts of Australian TV programme 'The Chaser's War on Everything' have a rather humorous solution, however:

If only, eh?

Muslims were not there first the lying sack of shit. If they had been the Aborigonal Australians would have had to denounce the Kangaroo and Dingo as spritual guides and worship the bloodthirsty paedophile!

Why do muslims think they were everywhere first when they clearly were not? They think they were in Europe before the Angles, Saxons, Norsemen etc.

I will tell you! It is because Allah made the world for(because the Jews and Christians had turned against Allah)Muslims, and as Allah is the only God and the Muslims are his true children, everything belongs to them, even your life, wife and children.

Filth.

The truly scary thing about Al Hilali is that he is proof that the Muslim community is lead by dangerous idiots.

Remember Sadaam Hussein's absurd PR man, who was so drop dead funny that no one took him seriously? Everyone forgot that he represented, and was complicit with, a filthy regime. Don't let Al Hilali's stand-up comedy fool you.

Anon:

I quite agree. He also openly mocks Anglo-Australians as 'convict scum who came in chains' - to which I would add 'then built one of the most successful societies on earth that you sought to live in'. ;-)

Yes, I remember him, the 'no tanks are in Baghdad' bloke.

You make a valid point - I fear many simply see Hilaly as light entertainment, forgetting that millions of people take him seriously.

I remember a similar atmosphere during the Danish cartoon riots - the seriousness of the situation was overlooked by some who simply could not believe millions of people were upset by something so trivial to us.
