Islam & the European Elections

For some European countries, Islam and the issues which Muslims generally care about have become fairly important for some of the major political parties.

I'm talking about the Left and the mainstream, not the supposedly Islam-obsessed Right. Pandering to the prejudices of Muslims is becoming necessary for political parties in many European cities and regions which have a rapidly changing zeitgeist.

The fielding of Muslim candidates is also growing.

Perhaps the most disturbing example of a party which has a blatantly Islamic agenda is 'Liste Antisioniste', the anti-Zionists.

Here is one of their campaign posters:

The premise of this party is allegedly that the end of Zionism will mean world peace. Its founder is the viciously anti-semitic comedian Dieudonné M'bala M'bala.

This is what it promises:

"FOR A FREE EUROPE!" Free from Censorship, speculators and NATO.

So in other words, free to promote Islamic propaganda, free to desert our cultural and historic allies to Islamic violence, free to align ourselves with the Muslim world.

From the Netherlands, we have an example of a mainstream party which is trying to woo the Muslim vote through any means necessary.

CDA politician Rena Netjes was recently interviewed by Al-yaqeen.com. This website is run by Dutch Muslims, including a hate preacher based in the Hague, and as far as I can gather it attempts to foster 'understanding'; i.e. Islam is pleasant and terrorism is often quite understandable. It also seems to promote the idea that Islam is compatible with the rights of women.

So what did the erstwhile Miss Netjes, a woman married to an Egyptian Muslim, have to say for herself?

"I want to go on the record for the Muslims, because I find it very bad what is happening [presumably the rise of Wilders and the 'demonising' of Islam] and this must stop. I will put my neck out for you.

I think it is honestly nicer than in the Netherlands in those [Muslim] countries . What I appreciate is that Muslims are very serious about their faith and how many have respect for God."

She has also said in the past that she would never have met a man as 'respectable' as her husband in the Netherlands. This quote caused most controversy:

Q: Finally: We've heard many promises. Why should Muslims trust that you will keep them?

A: People just need to google my name and they could see everything that I've done in the past. I also appear on TV programs in the Middle East. From both sides I try to cultivate understanding. It is also easier for me to stand up for Muslims than somebody with a Muslim background. For such a person, people could think that he has another agenda. Additional, I also understand the ideas of the ethnic Dutch, therefore I can also 'deal' with them. I understand both opinions well and I have both worlds united in me.

Oh, I think I understand you perfectly, Miss Netjes - you are what we call a Qusiling.

But this re-alignment isn't just a phenomenon in the European Parliament elections. It is happening the local elections, too.

Italy will see its first ever veiled female Muslim candidate who is running for the communal council in Perugia:

Maymouna Abdel Qader, an Italian of Palestinian descent, is a political science graduate of the University of Perugia.

She is running for Perugia's communal council for the Sinistra e Liberta coalition, which is made up of mainly socialist, anti-war and secular parties.

"Though being the first veiled Muslim woman that has ever run for elections in Italy, until now I have received a positive response from the people, who have also appreciated my choice, and look at me as a novelty of the local political scene," said Abdel Qader in an interview with Adnkronos.

Abdel Qader - who is the daughter of the imam of Perugia Mohammed Abdel Qader and is also one of the founders of the Young Italian Muslims association - said she is personally campaigning and distributing fliers to promote her candidacy.

"These days I am personally distributing fliers for my candidacy in order to ask the citizens of Perugia for their vote. Many have wished me well, after they see that I am Italian and not a foreigner," she told AKI.

Abdel Qader also said her objective is to represent Italy's second generation of Muslim immigrants in Italy, that are now what she calls "The new Italians".

Among the things she wants to promote if elected, is that Perugia's public pool can be reserved solely for women, at least once a week.

"It is a battle that it not just limited to Muslim women. The pool will be open to all women, and I count with the support of many women about this."

In Brussels, many local council candidates are Muslim, primarily of North African and Turkish descent.

The following information is translated by Islam in Europe:

The posters in these areas belong mostly to the Francophone Reformist Movement (RM), Humanist Democratic Party (cdH), and Socialist party (PS).

In 2007 Muslims were estimated to be 7.5% of the French Community and 11.8% in Brussels, and on the increase. This electorate is potentially more important, since youth make up 32%, compared with 23% elsewhere.

Muslims are voting Left - in recent elections the Socialists got 43% and the CdH 18.7%, which between 2004 and 2007 got an infusion fo votes from MR. Today the Socialists get most of the Muslim votes, despite having an atheist ideology, while traditional ethical values play a fundmanetal role in voting for CdH, whch was founded on religious identity.

Just a third of the Muslim electorate of 2007 attended a mosque regularly. Two thirds said they were not practicing.

Samira says that Muslims vote for the Left for socio-demographic causes. Muslims belong to the disadvantaged group: workers, employed and unemployed, and women, who make up just 6.6% of the Muslim electorate, tend to vote Left.

Dutch language blog In Flanders Field looked at the Socialist Party and published a list of the apparently Muslim candidates. 26 of the 72 PS candidates (36%) are Muslim.

Meanwhile, the Francophone Humanist Democratic Party tried to hide (1, 2 NL) the Muslim headscarf of one of their canddiates - Mahinur Ozdemir, number 21 on the list.

The party denies that it asked to hide the headscarf and says that the poster was prepared by outside sources. Ozdemir (bottom left above, and below with hijab) first said that she's deeply shocked and insulted, but later spoke to the publishers and agreed that it is not the party's fault.

However, Belgian broadcaster RTBF says that this is not the first time and that the CdH also tried to hide Ozdemir's headscarf in the municipal elections of 2006.

Interesting that they should attempt not only to Islamify the party list, but then hide the fact they have done so from less observant voters.

Perhaps they fear another change in the zeitgeist?

A Brief Word on the European Elections

Today voters in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands will be able to make their choice in the European elections - the other countries in the EU vote later in the week.

This will determine, via a system of proportional representation, just who represents us in the European Parliament.

It is not my job to tell people who to vote for; but I will say this to my British readers.

If you are of a conservative mindset, do not vote for the Conservative Party, or 'David Cameron's Conservatives' as it has been re-branded in some parts.

Whilst this man leads the party, it is lost to genuinely conservative people who care about their country.

All this man cares about is appeasing the neo-liberal elite and proving that conservatism has evolved to the point where it is not actually conservative any more. He doesn't care about this country or his party's instinctive voters.

When his leaflet came through my door, it insisted that Britain needed the right people in Europe, looking out for the interests of this country on matters such as immigration, the economic crisis and shaping European policy to suit Britain's needs.

I agree with him - it does need the right people. Those people are not in the Conservative Party.

Remember that well in excess of 50% of our laws are now dictated from Brussels. Remember that these elections are in many ways a referendum on issues such as Turkey joining the EU or getting a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty. This is the only chance we have to make our feelings on such issues known.

Vote accordingly. The Tories have been marginalising the 'eurosceptics' and the genuine Right-wingers in their party for years - whilst still using their grassroots support to win elections.

Please be aware of this.

In other news, the Dutch media have launched a final assault against Geert Wilders before polls open tomorrow:

In an article in the Dutch newspaper Trouw today, the leftist journalist Rinke van den Brink, a self-declared expert of the “far-right” and the author of a number of biased books, such as the “Internationale de la haine“ (The International of Hatred), writes about “Wilders’ European family.” Mr. van den Brink talked to Filip Dewinter (VB), Mogens Camre and Morten Messerschmidt (DF), Mario Borghezio (LN), Andreas Mölzer (FPÖ), and Gerard Batten (UKIP). Mr. Batten says he personally favours cooperation with Mr. Wilders but is not sure whether his party leadership is keen to address the issues (read: the fight against Islamisation) which have made the PVV so successful.

Mr. van den Brink’s article is part of a concerted project. Tonight, Dutch television broadcasts a documentary with the same title, in the hope of persuading the Dutch voters to abstain from voting for Mr. Wilders tomorrow. Part of the documentary is an interview with the Dutch academic André Krouwel who warns that Mr. Wilders is an extremist. Mr. Krouwel says Mr. Wilders is dangerous because he, and the other parties who would like to team up with him, emphasize the importance of national sovereignty over European cooperation. “Giving a central role to the national states will lead to many serious problems: to economic decline and to tensions between the states. It endangers prosperity and peace in Europe,” he says.

All the usual slurs are there- 'far-right', 'crackpot', 'extremist'.

Don't be fooled. What really endangers peace and prosperity in Europe is Islamisation and unchecked Third World immigration.

I find countless examples of such madness every single day. Too many examples.

We're further down the road to Hell than many realise.

There are only a few brave men willing to stand up and be counted, to tell us the truth; Wilders risks his life every single day for his principles, to help the country, the civilisation and the values he holds so dear.

I wish Mr Wilders and every candidate who genuinely loves Great Britain and the Kingdom of the Netherlands the very best of luck; we all need it.

Royal Navy Captures Somali Pirates

Somali pirates spotted in the Gulf of Aden were chased down by HMS Portland, using its Lynx helicopter and inflatable launches.

The pirates surrendered in the face of superior firepower from Royal Marines. They were found to have barrels of fuel, grappling hooks, ladders, rocket propelled grenades and machine guns.

The pirates were taken aboard HMS Portland whilst one of their boats was sunk - but because they were not caught red-handed attacking a ship they were released in their remaining boat, minus all their weapons.

Commander Tim Henry said: 'HMS Portland has once again demonstrated the coalition and Royal Navy's commitment to keeping the sea lanes open and making this key waterway safe for international trade.'

Er, yeah. Shame you can't just make them walk the plank like in the old days though.

Obama Calls the U.S. 'a Muslim Country'

Well, this time he only bowed to the Saudi King to allow the medal to be placed around his neck, but I think Obama's very presence in Saudi Arabia, the very purpose of this Middle East tour, speaks volumes about him and his agenda.

He does not go as an equal, or as the leader of the world's most powerful nation - he goes as a submissive, an adherent in all but name. Like Chamberlain, he does not wish for peace (for he surely knows that peace will never be forthcoming on America's terms without inflicting a crushing defeat) - he simply wishes to surrender.

Chamberlain surrendered before a shot was fired, abandoning an ally to the tender mercies of the Nazis.

Now Obama is in Saudi Arabia, plotting the best way to sell out Israel, a close friend and ally of America and the American people, not to mention the region's only truly free nation.

I will wait until his speech tomorrow before going into more detail, but this story from Islam in Action is worthy of note; yesterday Obama called the United States of America, home of the brave and land of the free, victim of countless terrorist atrocities fuelled by Islam both at home and abroad 'one of the world's largest Muslim countries'.

He seems to think that America's 3 million or so Muslims, about 1% of its population, mean that some could see it as a Muslim country is they so chose:

In an interview with Laura Haim on Canal Plus, a French television station, Mr. Obama noted that the United States also could be considered as “one of the largest Muslim countries in the world.” He sought to downplay the expectations of the speech, but he said he hoped the address would raise awareness about Muslims.

“Now, I think it’s very important to understand that one speech is not going to solve all the problems in the Middle East,” Mr. Obama said. “And so I think expectations should be somewhat modest.”

He previewed several themes and objectives for the speech, which aides said the president intended to tinker with — and rewrite — aboard Air Force One during his 12-hour flight to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

“What I want to do is to create a better dialogue so that the Muslim world understands more effectively how the United States, but also how the West thinks about many of these difficult issues like terrorism, like democracy, to discuss the framework for what’s happened in Iraq and Afghanistan and our outreach to Iran, and also how we view the prospects for peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians,” Mr. Obama said.

The president said the United States and other parts of the Western world “have to educate ourselves more effectively on Islam.”

“And one of the points I want to make is, is that if you actually took the number of Muslim Americans, we’d be one of the largest Muslim countries in the world,” Mr. Obama said. “And so there’s got to be a better dialogue and a better understanding between the two peoples.”

The speech on Thursday has many intended audiences, but among them are the young people in Cairo and beyond.

“I think the most important thing I want to tell young people is that, regardless of your faith, those who build as opposed to those who destroy I think leave a lasting legacy, not only for themselves but also for their nations,” Mr. Obama said. “And the impulse towards destruction as opposed to how can we study science and mathematics and restore the incredible scientific and knowledge — the output that came about during centuries of Islamic culture.”

The Religion of Peace in Britain

Within the last few days five incidents have been reported in the news, all of them serious in their way, but some far more so than others, shockingly so in fact.

All of these incidents have one thing in common; the alleged perpetrators are euphemistically described as 'Asians' - but they are all almost certainly Muslims.

• A 13 year old girl was allegedly gang-raped by up to a dozen men in the Harehills area of Leeds:

A MAJOR police inquiry was launched today after a 13-year-old girl was reportedly raped after being forced into sex acts with a group of at least a dozen men. The girl is believed to have told police she was raped by one man in the Chatsworth Road area of Harehills at about 7pm on Saturday after being forced to engage in sexual activities with at least 12 others.

The girl was found wandering in a traumatic condition the following morning at about 5am.

Five men were later arrested by police in connection with the allegation and it is understood that more suspects are being sought by officers investigating the horrific report.

• 37 year old Christopher Folkes was killed after being repeatedly kicked in the head during a 'sustained and savage' attack in a Blackburn park:

Christopher Folkes died from severe head injuries after he was brutally attacked in Queen's Park, Blackburn on Saturday night.

Witnesses said the 37-year-old was walking through the park around 9.30pm when he was heckled by a pack of ten men.

It is thought that he shouted back and three men of the men chased after him.

Horrified eyewitnesses said the victim was kicked repeatedly in the head as he lay unconscious and helpless on the ground.

A jogger and a man walking his dog rushed to the side of the lake, where Christopher lay bleeding, and gave first aid until the paramedics arrived.

Less than 24 hours later he was pronounced dead.

A group of up to 10 Asian and white young men were seen drinking near a football field in the park just before the violent assault.

Detective Superintendent Neil Hunter, leading the investigation, said: 'This was a really vicious and sustained attack on a man who at this moment in time was walking in the park, completely unrelated to the group we are wishing to trace.

'The motive is still unclear but we do know alcohol was consumed.

'He was in the park when the three Asian males in the group had a verbal altercation with him and then there has been a short chase, which has resulted in the attack. Christopher had tried unsuccessfully to escape.

'It was quite a prolonged and sustained attack. The witnesses who observed it said he was kicked repeatedly, particularly about the head but also in the body as well.'

• A man was stabbed to death by a predominantly Muslim gang of drug dealers after warning them off his younger brother:

A man was stabbed to death by a drug dealing gang when he confronted them for supplying cannabis to his 14-year-old brother, a court heard.

Adnan Patel was surrounded by the armed gang and knifed on each side of his chest after approaching them to warn them away from his younger sibling, a jury was told.

D'Mello, 24, of Stratford, Akeel Shah, 24, of Leytonstone, Moneeb Khalid, 20, of Manor Park, and Mohsin Akram, 19, of Beckton, deny murder.

• An amateur Cricket team fielded by the Shimla Kebab House attacked the teenage umpire with wickets and bats after a series of decisions they disagreed with:

They confronted the umpire, Matthew Lowson, 18, who was allegedly struck in the face by a player, then hit repeatedly with 'fists, kicks and stumps'.

Amid chaotic scenes, spectators dialled 999. Members of the batting team tried to protect the young official and the match was abandoned as the two sides squared up to each other.

Police arrived at the ground in Rotherham shortly after the visiting Shimla team from Bradford had left the scene. But officers gave chase and a minibus with most of the players was stopped on a motorway slip road.

There were more bizarre scenes when the umpire arrived and the players lined up in a roadside 'identity parade'.

A 16-year-old and two adults were identified as being involved in the 'confrontation'.
Mr Lowson, a qualified umpire, suffered 'reddening to his left cheek' but was not seriously hurt.

The incident happened at 4pm on Sunday near the end of the home Sheffield Alliance team's innings.

The Shimla team takes its name from wicketkeeper-Waleed Ditta's restaurant, the Shimla Kebab House.

Mr Ditta denied anyone had attacked the umpire. However, one spectator said: 'Players from the opposition team had to intervene and use themselves as human shields to protect the umpire.

'I could see the players surrounding him, repeatedly hitting him with fists, kicks and stumps.'

• A gang of up to four men described as 'Asian' attempted to abduct a 12 year old boy in North Yorkshire:

A 12-year-old boy managed to struggle free from a would-be abductor as he walked to school in North Yorkshire, police said.

The boy was on Goosecroft Lane in Northallerton at about 0825 BST on Monday when a black BMW 5 Series with up to four men in pulled alongside him.

One of the men got out from a passenger door and tried to pull the boy into the vehicle but he managed to break free.

North Yorkshire Police said it was a "worrying and serious incident".

They appealed for witnesses to come forward.

After the boy escaped the man's grasp, the BMW drove in and out of Swain Court and was last seen passing Sainsbury's on the High Street.

The man who grabbed the boy is described as Asian, aged in his mid-30s, about 5ft 10in tall (1.78m) with a pointy nose and a dent mark under his right eye.

He was wearing a dark suit and pink tie.

Police said the other men in the car were also Asian and dressed in suits and ties.

Det Con Jason Roper said: "I can assure parents, the school and the local community that we are doing everything we can to investigate it.

Muslim Exchange Student in Holland Embraces Freedom - to Fight Freedom

A Muslim exchange student studying law at the University of Maastricht noticed that some students from the debating society had put up posters advertising an upcoming debate about 'the issue of Geert Wilders'.

On the poster was a picture which is now famous - the 'Motoon', a cartoon of Mohammed with a bomb in place of his turban, as drawn by the Danish cartoonist Kurt Westergaard.

As some of you may recall, the reaction to this cartoon in the Muslim world led to rioting in which many died; the Danish embassy in Pakistan was bombed, leading to five deaths. Mr Westergaard lives in fear of his life, and at least one Muslim plot to murder him has been cracked in Denmark.

Anyway, here is what Saiqa Riaz, the Muslim student in question, had to say:

I am an exchange student at the Faculty of Law and a member of study association Ouranos. I write this letter to complain about one of the advertisements that has been posted by Ouranos in the faculty.

I am a muslim, a strict practicing one where my life is heavily influenced by and based on my religion. I pray five times a day, and believe in full submission to God. After seeing the ‘debate’ poster all over the law faculty, I have felt insulted and even my religion being discriminated against.

The poster included a stereotypical cartoon of a man with a beard, turban and a bomb about to explode causing great offence to me. This image has been banned from Geert Wilders’ film Fitna and has been banned ever since due to causing religious hatred. This image was actually taken from the Danish cartoons criticising Prophet Mohammed, then it was implemented in the Fitna film. I had never seen the cartoon and refused to see it, as I knew it would upset me. However Ouranos despite all the banning publicised it, when they were aware it has been banned.

I would not have been offended if a replacement image was advertised. But this stereotype cartoon had a verse from the Holy Quran on the turban. This verse of the Quran is the most holy, most sacred, most important verse and part in the Islam and for any muslim in the world. The poster advertised a negative image of my religion, not thinking about any views of the small muslim community in Maastricht. I am extremely disappointed and upset about what Ouranos has done, surely there were other means of them gathering students to come to their debate than to discriminate against the Islam. Maastricht University has a high rate of many international students, and if there were more muslim students here, I am sure they would also complain, and some would maybe even become violent.

Please be open to respect all religions, and develop your knowledge upon the religion of Islam, do not attack it so openly. Please do not publicize any posters or images attacking anyone’s religion.

So here we have someone from the back of beyond privileged enough to be able to study in the Netherlands, a successful country in almost every sense (for the moment, at least).

The worst part isn't that he had the ego to write this letter in the first place, but the thinly veiled threat:

...and if there were more Muslim students here, I am sure they would also complain, and some would maybe even become violent.

Well, we don't need him to tell us - we've seen the evidence for ourselves, over and over again, from Athens to Amsterdam and Sydney to Stockholm.

Yet still, many can't quite seem to match up the observations of their eyes and ears to their brains.

As Geenstijl notes:

Have you seen who the University invited to speak? PvdA-laywer and Wilders-hater Els Lucas and some left-wing hippy from Groen-Links! Therefore, nothing to be afraid of. Just the old Geert Wilders bashing as usual.

Exactly. But with Islam, as with Leftism, no dissent is tolerated. You don't just have to agree - you have to want to agree, or suffer the consequences.

Saudi Diplomat Rams Police Car in Ottawa

A man who allegedly led Ottawa police on a high-speed chase in an SUV and then collided head-on with a police cruiser was released from custody after he claimed diplomatic immunity, officers say.

While the suspect’s identity has been kept secret since the crash early Tuesday, CTV News has learned the man is a 30-year-old foreign envoy from Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia’s embassy hasn’t confirmed nor denied that information. Staff at the embassy have also refused to speak on the record about the alleged link.

The unnamed SUV driver wasn’t hurt in the crash, but the officer behind the wheel of the police cruiser suffered minor injuries.

Neither local police nor the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will release any information about the suspect.

When asked about the incident, Deepak Obhrai, parliamentary secretary to Foreign Affairs Minister Lawrence Cannon, cited privacy issues and referred all questions to local police.

A statement from Cannon’s office confirmed “that a person with diplomatic status faces criminal charges in connection with an incident of dangerous driving.”

The statement said there was no indication that alcohol was involved and that Ottawa will push for charges to be laid in a Canadian court.

“The Department will request that the individual’s government waive the appropriate immunities in order for any charges to be heard in a Canadian court.”

But NDP MP Paul Dewar said that response isn’t good enough and said the suspect’s name would be released “if a police cruiser was hit by anyone else.”

While Ottawa police say they are working with the Crown Attorney and the Department of Foreign Affairs to “pursue appropriate charges,” diplomatic immunity could allow the suspect to sidestep Canada’s justice system.

According to Liberal MP Dan McTeague, pursuing criminal charges against foreign diplomats isn’t a simple matter.

“They are not subject to the laws of the country,” he said. “They can’t be prosecuted, so it really becomes a matter between state to state.”

About 5,000 embassy workers currently have diplomatic immunity in Ottawa, and Tuesday’s crash is raising fresh questions about the practice.

This year, there have been three cases involving diplomatic immunity, including allegations of shoplifting and a suspected domestic dispute.

Last year, there were 14 incidents, including two allegations of drunk driving.

Perhaps Canada’s most infamous case of diplomatic immunity occurred in 2001, when an impaired Russian diplomat got behind the wheel of a car and struck Ottawa lawyer Catherine MacLean.

MacLean was killed and the Russian diplomat was shipped home.

However, diplomatic pressure from Canada led to a trial and conviction in Russia.

British Hostage Killed by Al-Qaeda

As Barack Obama jets off for his 'peace is submission' tour of the Middle East, it is being widely reported that a British hostage being held by al-Qaeda in the Maghreb has been murdered.

Downing Street says it 'has strong reason to believe' that Edwin Dyer has been killed.

The following message was posted on an Islamist website:

"The British captive was killed so that he, and with him the British state, may taste a tiny portion of what innocent Muslims taste every day at the hands of the Crusader and Jewish coalition to the east and to the west."

Dyer was seized at an African music festival in Niger by militants demanding the release of hate preacher Abu Qatada, currently held in a British prison awaiting extradition to Jordan.

From the BBC:

Mr Dyer, who spoke fluent German and had been working in Austria, was kidnapped in Niger on 22 January, close to the border with Mali.

He was captured along with a number of other European tourists, including two Swiss and one German. The group had been visiting the Anderamboukane festival on nomad culture.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Mr Brown said: "We have strong reason to believe that a British citizen, Edwin Dyer, has been murdered by an al-Qaeda cell in Mali.

"I utterly condemn this appalling and barbaric act of terrorism.

"My thoughts are with Edwin Dyer's family. I offer them the condolences of the whole country."

Mr Brown said the killing reinforced Britain's "commitment to confront terrorism".

"It strengthens our determination never to concede to the demands of terrorists, nor to pay ransoms," he added.

Most of the other hostages have been released, but one Swiss man remains in captivity and the British government urged the kidnappers to release him "immediately and unconditionally".

BBC security correspondent Frank Gardner said Mr Dyer was believed to have been kidnapped by local tribesmen and sold on to Algerian members of al-Qaeda in Mali.

British officials had been using intermediaries to try to secure Mr Dyer's release, our correspondent said.

Other European countries are understood to have paid ransoms to secure their hostages' release, but the British government has a blanket policy against such methods, he added.

Immigration News from Finland

Tundra Tabloids reports that the Finnish government is looking to tighten rules on family reunification, making the process tougher:

Migration and European Affairs Minister Astrid Thors is calling for tighter family reunification policies for asylum seekers. The recommendations stem from a government report on Finland's refugee policy.

In the future, parents seeking reunification with their kids must be able to prove that they lived together with their children as a family prior to seeking asylum in Finland.

Other suggested changes to current asylum procedures include authorities having the right to turn down asylum applicants who provide false information, for example in regard to family ties, when applying for refugee status.

The number of police stations accepting refugee applications will also be reduced in an effort to streamline asylum procedure. Refugee reception centers will be housed in the capital city region as well as in Turku and Oulu.

Seeing as family reunification is one of the major loopholes in any immigration policy, this can only be good news. The importing of foreign spouses is also one of the key things which helps immigration become colonisation.

In other news from Finland, the Finnish prosecutor's office has charged a Rwandan pastor who had been working in the country for his role in the Rwandan Genocide:

Finland's Office of the Prosecutor General [official website, in Finnish] on Monday charged [press release] former Rwandan pastor Francois Bazaramba with genocide and 15 associated murders. Bazaramba is accused of organizing and carrying out the killing of more than 5,000 civilians in the in the town of Nyakizu during the 1994 Rwandan genocide. Bazaramba was taken into custody in Finland on suspicion of war crimes since 2007, after seeking asylum there in 2003. The Finnish government refused to extradite [press release] Bazaramba to Rwanda in February, saying that they were not convinced that he would receive a fair trial. Bazaramba faces life in prison under Finnish law, which allows the prosecution of war crimes committed outside of Finland under universal jurisdiction.

Which just goes to show - when it comes to mass immigration from the Third World, you can never be sure just who you're letting in.

The Dark Continent

There has been another Plaasmoorde in South Africa.

George Venter, 78, died in the attack on his small holding on the outskirts of Port Elizabeth, and his wife is now in hospital having been subjected to an assault described as 'ferocious'.

ONE suspect has been arrested and police are still searching for at least three others believed to be responsible for the murder of a 78-year-old man and the ferocious assault of his wife at their smallholding in Theescombe on the outskirts of Port Elizabeth.

George Venter died in the attack late on Sunday night while his badly injured wife, Jakoba, 67, was found only yesterday morning and rushed to hospital.

The attack has sparked a huge outcry from neighbours in the surrounding smallholdings, who say the area has become the target of a number of housebreakings.

After a massive search of the area with sniffer dogs and a helicopter yesterday, police apprehended one suspect.

Police spokesman Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg said the couple were only discovered early yesterday by their domestic worker.

“At about 8am the domestic worker went to the house and found the woman lying near the front door badly injured and the man murdered in the dining-room. She immediately contacted the police.

“At the moment it looks as if there are at least four suspects. It looks as if they entered through the back door.

“We cannot give any other information at this stage because forensics are still busy compiling the information,” Janse van Rensburg said.

Michael Kerr, who stays two houses away from the Venter home, said they had had a lot of burglaries in the area, but seldom heard of murders.

“Most people have guns around here because there is such a problem with housebreakings. “They (the Venters) do not have a fence around their house or an alarm system, but I think George had two guns,” said Kerr.

Another neighbour, who did not want to be named, said he thought the problem could be the squatter camp behind his home. “I live in the house opposite George‘s and behind me there‘s a massive squatter camp; that‘s the problem.”

The Times also carried an article describing the situation of one of the last white families farming in Zimbabwe:

The invaders came at 11pm. Fifteen of them — singing, chanting and crashing metal objects together by our windows. “Out, out,” they shouted as they surrounded our farm — they certainly wanted us out. They broke into the house and dragged burning tyres through the front door. They invaded the hallway and occupied the courtyard. The flames leapt into the thatch as they pulled the tyres under it, but it did not catch alight.

This was last Tuesday. I called the police but then the invaders took the phone away. Their leader, who calls himself “Landmine”, was armed with a rifle. They pushed us around and raised sticks and said that we must leave. They beat my tonga drum so hard that the cowhide skin broke.

One of them went up to the children, who had been woken by the din. “Josh, Josh, there’s a man in our room,” said Anna, 4. Joshua, 9, told my wife Laura afterwards that the man was making hyena noises. My other son, Stephen, is 7.

Police arrived and the invaders were ushered out. None was arrested, but “Landmine” did return my phone at the request of the police. When the police left, though, the invaders resumed their attack. They did not break in this time, but they made a lot of noise, circling the house like whooping hyenas and shouting before they left: “We will eat the children.”

By the time the police came back a second time the invaders had given up: returning to the house of my wife’s parents on the other side of the farm. My parents-in-law were evicted by “Landmine” two months ago.

To be caught on the edge of life, isolated, without help and abandoned, is a hard thing. This is how it is living on a farm in Zimbabwe today. Our house, surrounded by wild stretches of swaying savannah grasses, should be a haven of peace. For us, though, looking out and listening, there are things we see and hear that make our hearts beat fast and our minds race. It is like looking out on a tranquil river, the languid stretches of the mighty Zambezi, and somehow being able to see the crocodiles beneath the surface lying in wait for the one who is careless and not alert.

We thought that with the new Government, and Morgan Tsvangirai becoming the Prime Minister, things might get better. Underneath the waters, though, we knew that the great crocodile, Robert Mugabe, was still in control. It is clear to us now that Tsvangirai does not want to harm Mugabe’s “sacred cow” — the eviction of the last of the white men from their farms must continue. Last week Tsvangirai said that there were invasions on only “one or two farms” and that they have been “blown out of proportion”. This is not the truth. Almost every white farmer that has so far survived is either being prosecuted criminally by the State for still being on his farm, or is facing an attack in which invaders take the law into their own hands.

To stay in our home, which we built on the farm from nothing in 1999, is a battle of wits and nerve — a battle that has raged since we completed our house and had our first child. Joshua, born three days before 2000, has known nothing but farm attacks. His first brush with the invaders was when he was four months old. We were driving out to visit another farm, but militia had erected a road block on the driveway. The invaders stopped us and smashed our car windows with axes and rocks. We had to drive for our lives, with Joshua in his carrycot on the back seat.

There was a time, though, when there was peace on the farm. It was a childhood dream of my father-in-law to reintroduce wildlife to the land. When the 1,200-hectare Mount Carmel farm, which has a river flowing though the middle, came up for sale he sold everything, took out a loan and bought it to create a safari enterprise. Over many years of hard farm work his dream gradually became reality. He introduced nine species of antelope and even had 45 giraffe by the time Joshua was born. The animals did well and my parents-in-law built a safari lodge set by the Biri River.

It was a happy place then, without fear stalking the veldt. Laura, my wife, grew up among all that. The bush war made things difficult for a time in the late 1970s, but it was never as it is now. Today, of the several hundred antelope that were here, not one remains. They have all been killed and the safari lodge has been burnt down.

The battle now is relentless, wearing and it drains all our innermost reserves. It is also an unusual battle — where else in the world does a government declare war on its own people? Where else does the State aim to destroy the economic base of the country so that people will be poorer and therefore more easily controlled? Where else do police connive with criminals to destroy agricultural production — leaving the people starving and totally dependant on the ruling party? Those who have not lived through a time of terror at the hands of a dictatorial government will never understand what it is like.

We have 500 people living and depending on the farm but none of the 150 workers has been allowed to work since April 4. They are chased away with guns by the invaders whenever they try.

Ninety per cent of our farming community has left or is packing at the moment. Tsvangirai’s appointment has hastened our demise. There is a rush to clear the farms of the last white people so that Mugabe can put his men on to the land to control and terrorise the people when the next election comes. Nobody can farm in the midst of this controlled anarchy. That is why we are now the most food-aid dependent country in the world.

Last year the Southern African Development Community Tribunal, a new human rights court set up in Namibia , told the Zimbabwe Government that it must “protect the possession, occupation and ownership of the lands of the applicants”. This is simply not happening. We are going back to the tribunal on Friday. It is important that we show how its judgment has been flouted. But of course the Government will not listen. In the last month the High Court of Zimbabwe has twice ruled in our favour, but it makes no difference. It ordered Nathan Shamuyarira, the octogenarian Zanu (PF) party spokesman and stalwart, who has been “given” our farm, to “vacate the property”. Police were directed to assist in ensuring that the order was complied with. But, six weeks later, the invaders are still here.

We can run away of course. Most people have. If self-preservation is the goal then there is no sense in staying. For us, though, there is a greater good. It is a matter of principle. If individual men and women allow evil to advance unchecked, it will prevail and more people will suffer and starve. It is hard to live and try to make a difference in a time of terror — especially with a family. My wife has been amazing. It is only our faith in God and his provision that sustains us.

Tuesday was not Landmine’s first visit. When he came last month and broke in to the house of my elderly parents-in-law, Mike and Angela Campbell, during the night, shouting that they must leave, our workers were beaten. One was put in the fire and his trousers caught alight before he wriggled out. They then beat him with sticks and metal pipes all over his body. They dumped him, his skull fractured, at the local Chegutu police station. After that it was easy for the invaders. My in-laws are still trying to recover from a savage beating and abduction on the farm nearly a year ago. Then, between the three of us, we suffered 13 broken bones. My skull was also fractured.

At the age of 38 I recovered well, but Mike, 75, who sustained the worst beating, is taking a long time to mend. Our crime was to try to get the whistle blown in the SADC Tribunal. With guns to our heads, they made Angela sign a paper saying that we would withdraw from the court, but we never did.

After Mike and Angela were forced to leave, Shamuyarira’s men were able to have the run of the place. For more than a month we have not been able to retrieve any of their possessions from the house. Two weeks ago the invaders drove a red government tractor into the fenced area around our house and started ploughing up our beautiful garden and driveway so that we could not get out. They screamed abuse and threatened to burn down our home, lighting sacks under the thatched roof before weaving off down our access road and ploughing that into a quagmire too. They then went to the workers and pushed down the door to the home of the foreman, Peter. He has been working for my father-in-law for 31 years. They took him from his bedroom and started beating him and then continued hitting him with sticks on the soles of his feet through the night. We could hear the singing and the raw screams of the beating through the night air, but there was nothing we could do. Nobody knew where Peter was until the next morning when he was dumped at the police station. There were no arrests.

It is harvest time in Zimbabwe. That is one of the reasons that Shamuyarira’s men have come now. This is the largest mango farm in Zimbabwe. There were 50 tons of mangos in the pack shed and cold rooms and another 120 tons still hanging on the trees two months ago. They have stolen all of them and are now starting on the oranges. After that it will be the maize and the sunflowers — and nobody is willing to stop them.

Where else in the world do the Government sanction people to reap what they did not sow, and get away with it? Where else do people come to take homes and occupy them? Where else do people get beaten and left at police stations and their attackers drive off with impunity?

Nobody is putting in a wheat crop this year. The wheat seed sits in the warehouses and in the shops. And so there will be no bread.

When the invaders are not here there is an eerie unease. The workers’ houses are quiet and deserted — their occupants in hiding. When we do see our workers they are furtive — listening, jumpy, ready to move at the slightest threat. Ultimately it must be for them that we stay. We know that if we run they will be chased from their homes and will starve. It is our conviction that God has called us to stay and stand and resist the evil that continues to beset the land.

For now, though, we are reeling, sometimes seeing stars, bewildered in a bewitched land. We are waiting for a future.

More Insane Sentences from Britain's 'Justice' System

Some of these jail terms are so short as to absolutely beggar belief.

• Ali Shahzad, 26, of Bullingdon Prison, Bicester, convicted of sexual assault on a female on March 29 in Oxford. Jailed for six weeks and ordered to sign the Sex Offenders’ Register for seven years.

• Jakub Bala was just 16 when he raped a woman in Portsmouth:

The woman told Bala, now 21, to leave her alone but he continued to follow her as she made her way to a friend's home.

When she arrived at the block of flats Bala grabbed her and forced her to the floor.

She begged him to leave her alone and screamed for help.
But Bala persisted and raped her in the communal entrance area of the block in Portsmouth.

Judge Gareth Cowling said: 'One just cannot imagine the trauma and terror that that young woman was suffering.

'She was trying to get someone to notice that you had trapped her in a corner. You pushed her and grabbed her while she was screaming.

'All the time she was trying to repel you. This is a bad case of rape.
'I take into account that at the time of the offence you were only 16 – had you been older the sentence I would be passing would be longer.'

Four years received - but he will only serve half.

• Dr Rajinder Aggarwal was convicted of smacking the bottoms of two his female patients, but escaped a jail sentence in favour of community service and a £3,000 fine. A fitness to practice panel will decide his future as a doctor later:

A family doctor prescribed a 'good screw' to a woman who was suffering from panic attacks, a court heard yesterday.

Dr Rajinder Aggarwal, 54, also allegedly gave unnecessary intimate examinations, smacked patients on the bottom and questioned them about their favourite sexual positions.

Four women, aged between 26 and 53, have lodged complaints about Aggarwal's conduct in December 2006 and January 2007.

Prosecutor Anthony Abell told Basildon Crown Court that a woman suffering from panic attacks was 'prodded and pushed around the groin area' by Aggarwal during an examination.

'He told her she was an attractive lady. He asked her when she last had sex and with whom.

'He told her she looked like a million dollars and then gave her these words of advice, "Do you know what would do you good? You should go out and paint the town red and have a good screw".'

The jury heard that the doctor then wrote down his phone number and asked her out for dinner.

Another patient, a student from Sweden, went to see him with a condition. Mr Abell said: 'He pulled down her tights and knickers and began to tap her lower stomach and pubic area.

'As he did this he was pressing his genitals against her lower right arm. She could tell he had an erection.

'He told her to stand up and turn round. Once she had done so he smacked her on the bottom so hard that it hurt and caused her to stumble forwards.'

• Aruna Paranamana raped a female neighbour with severe learning difficulties. He was sentenced to five years:

Aruna Paranamana, 49, of Rugby Avenue, knew his victim when he approached her asking for sex, and when she refused he pulled down her clothing and raped her.

The 43-year-old woman protested throughout her ordeal but he ignored her.

After the attack he told her not to tell anyone but was caught when the victim's carer saw she was not eating properly and was unusually moody.

The woman then told her what happened and the police were informed.

When questioned by officers Paranamana claimed his victim must have been forced to make the allegations but pleaded guilty on the day of his trial in the face of overwhelming DNA evidence found on her clothing.

• Thsawar Malik stabbed one man to death and nearly killed another in a revenge attack for an incident at his family home was jailed for just fifteen years:

Malik, 24, armed himself with a kitchen knife after his deaf mute older brother was punched and windows smashed during an attack on his family home in Miles Hill Road, Meanwood, Leeds.

The jury heard weeks earlier Mr Flanagan's car windows had been smashed and he believed the two Malik brothers were responsible.

Thsawar and another brother, Wasim Malik, 21, went looking for the men responsible – Peter Flanagan, 29, and Jamie Tobin.

Leeds Crown Court heard there was a stand off before Thsawar stabbed and seriously injured Mr Tobin in the early hours of last December 3.
A drunk Mr Flanagan came running at Thsawar Malik with a six-foot piece of wood.

Mr Flanagan slipped in the snow and Malik, who claimed to have been racially abused, plunged the knife into his chest, piercing his heart and killing him.

Thsawar was cleared of attempting to murder Jamie Tobin but was convicted of causing him grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent.
The Recorder of Leeds, Judge Peter Collier QC, jailed Thsawar for 15 years for manslaughter, with a 10-year concurrent sentence for GBH.

Judge Collier told him: "I accept the immediate cause of your lethal venture was a wholly unjustified and outrageous attack on your home in the middle of the night.

"I also accept that the jury by their verdict have found that that conduct provoked you to behave as you did."

Judge Collier added that taking a knife out showed "a degree of premeditation".

• In another incident, it has been revealed that a man responsible for killing two police officers may be released from jail after just seven years:

Leayon Davi Dudley killed Pc Moore, from Shepshed, and Pc Munn, from Diseworth, by deliberately ramming a van into their patrol car on the A42, near Worthington, in August 2002, after a high-speed chase. He was drunk at the wheel.

His murder convictions were quashed on appeal and reduced to manslaughter, for which he received fourteen years.

Islam in Europe

Another day, four more stories about the march of Islam in Europe.

1) Norway

Today it was revealed that 40% of schools in Oslo have a majority of children born to foreign parents. This is up from 34% last year.

The figures presented in the link seem to suggest that most Norwegian pupils at such schools wish to leave.

Is this surprising? Yesterday Pyjamas Media ran a story about Vahl Grade School in downtown Oslo. A female employee, a Pakistani Muslim, had been pressuring young girls (of around six or seven years old) to wear the hijab.

The girls she encouraged to cover themselves were ethnic Norwegians, who make up just 5% of pupils at this particular school:

She flattered the girls who didn’t wear hijab by telling them how pretty they would be if they only put on hijabs, and said that she could give them hijabs as gifts. The woman works for SFO (Skolefritidsordning or “School Free Time Arrangement”), which provides volunteers to take care of kids before and after school hours, and also works as a classroom assistant. In March she got the head of SFO to write the following note to the parents of two non-Muslim girls:

“Can X get a hijab from SFO on Tuesday, March 31, 2009?” The letter is dated March 30 and signed by the head of Norwegian SFO. HRS has the original letter. We also have a photograph of posters from the school building announcing prayer times for the children.

An employee at Vahl School explains the spread of hijabs at the school to HRS in this way:

“In first grade, about half of the Muslim girls show up in hijab. By the time they’re in third grade, pretty much all of the Muslim girls are in hijab,” says this person who wishes to remain anonymous.

So this woman, entrusted to care for young children, abused her position to try to impose her own backward values on them. What did her employer have to say?

The assistant principal at the school, Grete Wahlmann, obviously doesn’t understand what kind of force and pressure on children these matters can involve or, for that matter, what values hijab represents. She told the Adressa.no website: “This was just a small gesture from SFO. There were two little girls who wanted to dress up in pretty, colorful, and glittering hijabs, and therefore SFO asked if it was okay with the parents for them to give them to the girls.”

There we have it. Just taking advantage of the nature of young girls to impose alien cultural values on them. Move along, nothing to see here.

2) Greece

A while ago I wrote about the rioting of Muslims in Greece, incensed over a policeman's alleged desecration of a copy of the Koran.

This led to vandalism and a failed attempt to petrol bomb the Agios Panteleimonas police station in central Athens.

The crux of the issue was thus:

"We want the officer or officers involved to be prosecuted, and the government to issue an apology," protester Manala Mohammed, a Syrian national, told The Associated Press. "We want people to show us respect."

We now have a classic case of blackmail ongoing in Greece; if an apology is not forthcoming and the policeman is not sacked or put on trial, then 'communities' might lose control of their members.

"How can you control enraged 20-year-old Afghans who will hit the streets seeking to die in the name of Allah?" asked Naim al-Ghandour, president of the Muslim Union of Greece.

"This is creating hate in a country that did not have the reputation in the Arab and Muslim world of being an enemy," Mr. al-Ghandour said.

Mohammad Ateeq, the Iraqi immigrant at the center of the controversy, lodged a suit on charges of damage to property and religious disrespect.

He claims that the unidentified policeman insulted him, tore his copy of the Koran and proceeded to step on it.

"Greece is not Denmark," said Ahmed Muawiya, a member of the Greek Immigrant Forum, seeking to dispel fears of another conflagration like one that followed the 2006 global riots over Danish cartoons depicting the prophet Muhammad.

"But offending Islam is not a game, and this must not be viewed as just an immigrant issue," Mr. Muawiya said.

No, it's not a game - people end up dead. We know.

It doesn't look like the Greeks will get much spiritual leadership regarding the invasion and subjugation of their country, however:

Greece has been struggling for more than a decade with the illegal entry of mostly Muslim immigrants from the Arab world, North Africa and Central Asia.

An estimated 400,000 Muslims - including both legal and illegal immigrants - in the greater Athens area alone pray in 130 makeshift shrines in the absence of an official mosque in the Greek capital.

The church has donated a large plot of land for the creation of a Muslim cemetery and supports the creation of Greece's first mosque. It offers daily food handouts in central Athens, irrespective of creed.

3) United Kingdom

A software company in Scotland is creating a new game for the X Box called 'Rendition'.

In it, the player will control a Guantanamo Bay detainee who is trying to shoot his way out of the prison.

The company decided that this wasn't controversial enough, however; they called upon the expertise of Mozzam Begg, a British resident and former inmate at the US base in Cuba. As well as advising on the layout of the prison, he could also become a star as the game's central character which players will control.

The director of the company, the well known Scotsman Zarrar Chishti, said:

"We have had a lot of hate mail about this, mainly from America, saying things like, 'Don't dare put out a game that shows them killing our soldiers. But only mercenaries will be killed.

We are expecting an extreme reaction to the game in the US. But we think it will sell well in the Middle East."

4) Sweden

The majority of imams in Sweden wish for a Swedish education. Some of them believe that holding their sermons in Swedish will fight alienation and aid integration. There is also the issue of Saudi imams being offered to Swedish mosques free of charge, a practice which must be stopped to fight the spread of wahabism.

However, a report commissioned by the Swedish government suggested that this would be a very bad idea - because it is better that extremists control religious education than the Swedish state, which might attempt to 'steer' imams towards certain interpretations of Islam:

There is great skepticism and a belief that the State would take over the religious part of imam training and thus "steer" Islam's religious content.

Turkey is the country that sends most imams in Sweden, 47%. This is done through the religion Ministry, Diyanet, which sends imams to countries with large Turkish diasporas.

16 Dangerous Criminals on the Run in Britain

Four of the most wanted violent criminals in the world, as well as sixteen of the most wanted violent criminals in Europe are believed to be hiding out in Britain.

They are wanted for crimes such as murder, drug trafficking, human trafficking, rape and violent robbery. Many of their crimes were committed in their home countries before they fled here.

The majority of the men, eight, are Albanians who are probably here illegally. But the rest, which include Poles, Hungarians and Lithuanians, could well have been here perfectly legally - because thanks to the expanison of the European Union, their passports are as good as British. In fact, you may well have had to queue beside them at passport control.

Think about this - Albania applied to join the European Union at the end of April. If that application is successful, any Albanian who wishes to will be free to come here without checks.

The Government have already given up control of our borders, and that is bad enough - but the expansion of the EU is taking in ever poorer, more corrupt and more lawless states. After the admission of Romania and Bulgaria, it is estimated that a huge number of street robberies in London are committed by Roma gangs.

It will be bad enough if Albania join, a corrupt country packed with violent Muslims, notorious for their criminal activities and their irredentist movements.

Imagine an EU which contained Turkey as a member, however.

Treat the coming election as a referendum on Turkey's membership. Remember that David Cameron, for all his talk, supports Turkey's bid to join.

• On 3 June 1998, Nadire KURTI (who had a relationship with Kaca) left Albania with Kaca to go illegally by boat to Greece. She realised after their arrival that they were in Italy, not Greece. They were stopped by the police and deported back to Albania. After some days they took another ship to Italy. They first went to Bologna, and then to Turin, where Kaca forced Kurti to work as a prostitute. She did so for 2 days. The money earned was given to Kaca who then sold her to a friend of his called NIKOLIN. Nikolin then took her to Milan, also to work as a prostitute. In 2005 she returned to Albania and reported the facts to the police.
• Sentence imposed 10 years imprisonment and ALL 500,000 fine.

• In April 2008 Bielecki was located in London and arrested under the EAW. His extradition was later ordered by the UK court.
• On 14th April 2008 whilst on conditional bail, BIELECKI failed to hand himself over to the Authorities for extradition and he has been at large ever since.

• Wanted by the Polish Authorities under the European Arrest Warrant.
  Galas was sentenced by the Polish Authorities to a combined custodial sentence of 5 years and 3 months. He has 4 years 9 months and 10 days still to serve. Galas was a member of an organised criminal armed gang between 1999 and 2003 that was involved in drug trafficking, human trafficking robbery and fraud.
• In October 2001 he violently sexually assaulted a female in Radom, Poland using a knife. He failed through the intervention of third parties.

• Wanted by the Lithuanian Authorities under the European Arrest Warrant.
• Jankauskas was sentenced in 1998 by the Lithuanian Authorities for offences including a violent robbery and car theft. Jankauskas has 3 years, 11 months and 28 days still to serve after failing to attend Court following a failed appeal.
• Amongst his offences, in August 1998, whilst being drunk and together with another person, Jankauskas violently beat and robbed a male in Klaipeda, Lithuania.

Name: Bogumil Michal KACZMARKCZYK

Offences:

• Kaczmarkczyk is one of the Poland's most wanted fugitives. He is sought on a European Arrest Warrant for a high profile rape and murder.
• The maximum prison sentence for the two offences is 12 years imprisonment.
• Kaczmarkczyk is accused of a violent assault of Piotr Rembkowski in September 2004 in Lublin, Poland. The victim later died from the injuries sustained.
• Kaczmarkczyk is also accused of a violent rape in October 2004 in Lublin, Poland. After the rape he threatened the victims' family with revenge if the victim reported the offence.

• Wanted by the Polish Authorities under the European Arrest Warrant.
• Kawa is wanted by the Polish Authorities for an alleged violent sexual assault which took place in Poznan, Poland on 8th July 2006. The maximum custodial sentences for the two offences are 12 years imprisonment and 10 years imprisonment.
• Kawa is alleged to have attacked a female with another person by hitting her with his hands, a leather belt, kicking her over her whole body and then is alleged to have placed the female into a plastic bag and threatened to take her life. He is then alleged to have committed a violent sexual assault on the female.

Offences:

• Misarko is wanted by the Polish Authorities under the European Arrest Warrant.
• The two offences he is suspected of committing carry a maximum custodial sentence of 3 years and 2 years imprisonment. Misarko is suspected of having participated in a violent assault which occurred in Bialystok in October 2006.

Jacqui Smith Set to Resign as Home Secretary

Muslim Convert Guns Down Two Soldiers in Arkansas

An African-American convert to Islam has gunned down two soldiers at a US Army recruiting centre in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, 24, killed Pvt. William Long, 24, and severely wounded Pvt. Quinton Ezeagwula, 18.

It is expected that the latter will survive his injuries.

An Arkansas man was arrested Monday in connection with a shooting at a Little Rock military recruiting center that killed one soldier and wounded another, authorities said.

Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad [above] — a 24-year-old Little Rock resident formerly known as Carlos Bledsoe — faces a first-degree murder charge and 15 counts of engaging in a terrorist act, Little Rock Police Chief Stuart Thomas said. The terrorist counts stem from the shots fired at an occupied building.

The soldier who was killed was identified as Pvt. William Long, 24, of Conway, and the wounded soldier is Pvt. Quinton Ezeagwula, 18, of Jacksonville, Thomas said.

Ezeagwula is in stable condition and expected to recover, the police chief said.

Although military officials initially believed that the shooting was a random act, Thomas said police think the shooter acted alone “with the specific purpose of targeting military personnel.”

“I’m relieved there’s a suspect in custody,” said Capt. Matthew Feehan, commander of the center.

Feehan said seven other recruiters were in the building, but nobody else was injured.

Thomas said police recovered three guns from Muhammad’s black Ford SUV: an SKS semi-automatic rifle, a .22-caliber rifle and a pistol.

The victims were just out of basic training and had not been deployed, said Lt. Col. Thomas F. Artis, commander of the Oklahoma recruiting battalion that oversees the Little Rock recruiting center.

The soldiers were part of a recruiting program called “hometown recruiting assistance,” Artis said. Under the program, recruiters have the soldiers tell their stories to potential recruits. It’s a volunteer position taken while soldiers are visiting or based back in their home region, Artis said.

The FBI has opened an investigation into the incident, said Steven Frazier, spokesman for the agency’s Little Rock office. “Based on what we find, we will determine whether there is any federal jurisdiction to prosecute,” he said.

A little more information from USA Today:

A Muslim convert who said he was opposed to the U.S. military shot two soldiers outside an Arkansas recruiting station, killing one of the soldiers, police said Monday.

"This individual appears to have been upset with the military, the Army in particular, and that's why he did what he did," Little Rock Police Lt. Terry Hastings said in a phone interview.

"He has converted to Islam here in the past few years," Hastings said. "To be honest we're not completely clear on what he was upset about. He had never been in the military."

Hastings identified the man in custody as Carlos Bledsoe, 24, of Little Rock, who was going by the name of Abdul Hakim Mujahid Muhammad. He did not have further details.

Hastings said the attacker pulled up in a car outside an Army-Navy recruiting office about 10:30 a.m. local time and fired. The two soldiers were outside the office when shot.

According to the Associated Press, the vehicle was stopped on Interstate 630 a short time later and the suspect was taken into custody. Police found an assault rifle in the vehicle.

A Tale of Political Correctness in France

Political correctness has become one of the all encompassing beliefs of the Western elite, spreading to the population at large.

Many thoughts are now unthinkable, and many sentiments, no matter how sensible, logical or based on observable reality, simply cannot be expressed in polite company.

What is most interesting though is when the rules of political correctness are vociferously enforced by an individual assumed to be an ordinary citizen - but who turns out to have an agenda all of their own.

The case of Fanny Truchelut from France sums this up perfectly. It also demonstrates just how easily political correctness goes hand in hand with Islamisation.

Mme. Truchelut and her husband ran a bed & breakfast for tourists in rural France, on the property in which they lived.

They wished to create a friendly, relaxed atmosphere, particularly in the two communal areas set aside for guests to interact with the Truchelut family and each other, if they so wished.

In 2006, in the spirit of a friendly, relaxed environment, Mme. Truchelut requested that two female Muslim guests remove their veils in the public area. They refused and demanded their money back - and Mme Truchelut complied without quibbling.

As it turns out, the women were not just ordinary Muslim citizens - one of them worked for CIFE, an organisation which seeks to normalise the veil in French public life. Naturally, she lodged a complaint, using the press and the law to harass and persecute Mme. Truchelut until she was ruined in every conceivable sense.

Here is her full story, translated by Gaia for Gates of Vienna:

In 1985, my ex-husband and I (we separated in December 2007 partly as a result of the following events) bought an old, unoccupied summer camp (note: where groups of children used to spend their summer vacations)

I had two objectives:

• to create a home for my family (I have 4 children) to accommodate my children, their spouses and my future grandchildren.
  
• to finance this enterprise, I turned this house into a ‘gite’ to accommodate holidaymakers. I wanted to create an environment in which conviviality would be paramount.

In December 2004, we opened the house to holidaymakers. My son Antonin set up an Internet site: grandesgouttes.free.fr — which was very active. The orientation that I had taken — a place of hospitality and user-friendliness — was clearly indicated on the site.

From December 2004 to August 2006, that is to say for 1½ years, we successfully rented to holidaymakers. Our enterprise took shape. The holidaymakers who came were in agreement with this principle and I did not encounter any problem; quite the contrary.

The Demiati family arrived at my property on August 11, 2006. They had reserved the accommodation on the Internet. This family had thus seen our site, which gave a clear description of our services:

Communal Area of 70 m2 (living room — dining room) on the ground floor placed free at your disposal, where you can congregate or meet the other tenants of the house.

This room was not available for private rent.

In this family, there were two women, both veiled. For a few seconds I remained immobile on the staircase asking myself what I should say or do. My past experiences, both as a child and a woman, came back to me and I asked Horia Demiati (HD) and her mother to remove their veils in the communal parts of the house, in particular in the room quoted above.

HD then requested me to return the down payment to her. I went away to look for the cheque which I had not yet cashed, I returned the cheque and the family left.

In requesting that HD remove her veil, I thought of it as an exchange from one woman to another woman. However subsequent events showed me that it was nothing of the sort. All the Demiati family members are militants: HD is treasurer of the CIFE, an organization which militates openly for the wearing of veils in the work place.

I discovered my predicament… in the press in an extremely violent way

A journalist called me on Thursday August 17, 2006, using a well-known tactic of the press; to attack the person interviewed, to comment on the gravity of his act, mentioning on several occasions the consequences (obviously the maximum) to which the person would be likely to be condemned, in short to put the person interviewed in a situation of stress, to make them lose control of the situation. And the tactic worked.

On the following day the journalist published an article in the newspaper Est Républicain of August 18, 2006, an article with this heading on page one:

RACIAL DISCRIMINATION IN A ‘GITE’

The court will not tolerate racial discrimination, but too late, the evil was done.

However, the presumption of innocence is a basic principle of our Law. This principle means that any individual must be presumed innocent of the charges against him until such time as a judgement is made and a sentence decreed (Article 9 of the Declaration of Human rights and the Citizen).

Confirmed by the Security Convention of the European Court of the Human rights.

AFP (Agence France Presse) reprinted the article, and a media outburst ensued.

Following these articles, I received threats, sufficiently serious for me to visit the police station on August 29, 2006. I was in an intense state of stress, I feared for our safety and I signed a statement which was retained by the court to condemn me. I was officially advised of the complaint relating to September 12, 2006 one month after the events. Civil action was taken by the MRAP, the LDH and the LICRA.

My lawsuit with Epinal on October 2, 2007.

The civil parties in the case took up the terms of the libellous press campaign, treating me as illiterate and racist. The lawyer of the MRAP labelled me a Catholic fundamentalist, even though none of my children are baptised.

My defense was based, at my request, on the issue of Women’s Rights., Maître Varaut made a plea which plunged the room into silence. The opposing parties spent all their time insulting me as well as the two women who testified, Anne Zelenski and Annie Sugier.

At the end of the hearing, when the Vice-president of the court asked me whether I had anything to add, I spoke only about Anne (Zelenski) and Annie (Sugier), reminding the lawyers Welzer, Tubiana and Bouvier, that if one day, they defend a beaten woman, that they remember them, because it was they who created the first refuge for beaten women in 1978. But it was not until 1992, 14 years later that a law was introduced to repress marital violence.

I was found guilty of religious discrimination and received 4 months of suspended sentence and a fine of €8,490. (fuller details about the judgement can be found on my site).

The court decided to condemn me from a passage of my deposition of August 29, 2006.

Extracts of the judgement: Given that Mrs Yvette Idoux married Truchelut report in these terms what occurred: “last August 11, we received a family which had reserved a lodging, family that we refused to lodge, my husband and I, due to two women wearing veils, members of this family, women who refused our request to withdraw this ostentatious sign of their religion in the common parts of the lodging” (statement of the 29/08/2006).

Given that it thus appears, unambiguous that Mrs Truchelut subordinated the hiring of her lodging to the removal by Mesdames HD and her mother of their veil, with the reason that this constituted, according to her own expression, “ostentatious sign of their religion“.

Thus, the common parts became the hiring of the lodging. The court did not take into account either the fact that it was HD who decided to leave or that I at no time requested it.

My appeal in Nancy

I was attacked via the Internet for having been defended by Maître Varaut. They said I should not be supported because of that. Thinking that it was important to win such a lawsuit and wishing as much as possible to gather people behind this cause, I changed lawyers and took on somebody who did not have any “label”. A serious error on my part. Maître Varaut was only an excuse to allow a great number not to implicate themselves.

Unfavourable side, one takes the same ones and one starts again, even insults and low blows.

My guilt was confirmed, I was condemned to two months of suspended sentence and €6,000 of damages.

My personal situation

At Christmas 2006 I received new phone calls from people with surnames of North African origin wishing to rent for Christmas, which made me fear new provocations. I again felt trapped and I decided to stop letting rooms with all the financial consequences that can be imagined. The property can be repossessed and sold without our permission, which will not be easy because it is located in a remote place in the mountain.

My father sent me to work in a factory at 14 years old and I have always worked since. I am 56 years old and I am separated from my husband. I have 2 more dependent children. I am entitled to a pension which I will not be able to touch until I am 60 years old. Currently I live on an allowance which enables me to live or rather to survive but I am unable to pay the €6,000 damages plus interest for which I was scandalously condemned. The decision was made executory, i.e. I must pay the associations known as human rights organizations (MRAP and LICRA) who did not hesitate for one moment to send a bailiff to threaten me to seize my pieces of furniture.
