15 Year Old Muslim Guilty of Sexual Assault in Burnley

From The Burnley Express:
A 15-YEAR-OLD from Burnley is to be sentenced later this month in connection with a sexual assault in Colne Road, Burnley, in January.

The teenager asked a 27-year-old woman for a cigarette and light before dragging her into a nearby skate park where he assaulted her.

Following a police investigation and media appeal for information, he was charged with assault with the intention of committing a sexual act and found guilty following a three-day trial at Burnley Crown Court.

He will be sentenced on August 27th.
More details can be found in the original report about the attack:
The 27-year-old was walking along Colne Road, towards Burnley, around 9 p.m. when she was stopped by an Asian man and asked for a cigarette and light. The man then dragged her into the skate park where he sexually assaulted her. She received minor bruising during the incident.

The man is described as being aged around 18 to 19, 5ft. 5in. tall and of slim build. He was clean shaven with neatly cut spikey hair and is believed to have been wearing a black stone island jacket and grey combat trousers.

Det. Sgt Martin Melvin said: "We believe this to be an isolated incident nevertheless it is still important we find the man responsible. I am appealing for anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious to get in touch as soon as possible."
I hope The Lambeth Walk has gone some way towards proving that events like this are very far from 'isolated incidents'.
