Insulting Saint Stephen

In a country where it often feels as if nothing is sacred any longer, it's good to know that the authorities are on top of the most important issues of the day.

Soldiers may be beheaded in the street whilst the police cower behind their car waiting for back up, allowing ordinary members of the public the vibrant opportunity to be enriched by listening to the verses of the Koran the blood-drenched killers are quoting; young girls may be forcibly hooked on drugs and gang raped by predatory Pakistanis whilst their fathers, banging on the door outside, are arrested for "racially aggravated harassment."

You might look at the above and think that this is a country which has lost its way, in which all aspects of the justice system were a toothless (although doubtless extremely expensive) joke.

Fear not. Forget Muslim morality patrols in Tower Hamlets, decapitated soldiers, calls for further decapitations - the real threat to law and order in London today comes from football fans not being quite complimentary about the importance of the Stephen Lawrence case - and when it comes to the truly important issues of the day, Old Bill and the CPS are still at the top of their game:

A group of seven football fans have received a total of six years in prison and a football ban of 52 years after they were heard singing on a train following their team’s FA Cup match.

The Met and the British Transport Police (BTP) launched an investigation, called Operation Midas, into allegations the men were chanting about Gary Dobson.

The accused were believed to be Charlton fans, and the club worked with officers to identify a number of people in connection with the incident.

Its chief executive Stephen Kavanagh then accompanied them on a series of dawn raids from which nine suspects were arrested.

Today the men, aged between 22 and 31, were found guilty of racially-aggravated chanting at Blackfriars Crown Court.

All but one received custodial sentences, ranging from eight months to 18 months, along with eight-year banning orders from football grounds in Britain.

The other defendant received a six-month suspended sentence, a curfew order for six months between 8pm and 6am and a four-year stadium ban.

Baljit Ubhey, London’s Chief Crown Prosecutor, said: “As the Hate Crime Champion for the CPS I am committed to ensuring that CPS London works with its police partners to tackle this type of behaviour.

“I hope these convictions stand as a warning that racist and abusive behaviour will not be tolerated in our city.”

Indeed, Baljit - I think we're all beginning to get an idea of just what will be tolerated and what won't in what was formerly "our city," and indeed "our country."

Hate Crime Champion at the CPS? I bet Baljit's services don't come cheap. Still, never mind - it's not as if the country is bankrupt, after all.

And I, for one, will sleep safely in my bed tonight knowing that these men are off the streets. Thought crime will simply not be tolerated in New Britain, and we all need to accept it and get the message.

Now, excuse me while I wait for the 6 am knock.

Equality Before the Law?

"Hate" crime one:
A churchgoer who left pork products outside a mosque during a hate campaign against Muslims has been put behind bars.

John White, 63, left rashers of bacon outside the religious building in South Shields, and similar products outside worshippers' homes.

'Such foul discrimination is offensive to all right minded people, regardless of their religious beliefs.'

But the judge said White, who lives near the mosque and has attended a church in the same street for over 30 years, must be kept in custody until he is sentenced in September.
So, White will be kept in prison until his sentence is passed in September - for 5 counts of "religiously aggravated harassment, alarm or distress."

Whilst I don't condone what he did, I'm convinced the courts have set far more dangerous and criminally minded people free to walk amongst us - is he really a huge threat to society?

"Hate" crime two:

A taxi driver ranted racial abuse outside a Jewish school after getting stuck in a traffic jam.

Taha Osman shrieked ‘All Jewish children must die!’ after his car was hemmed in by parents picking up pupils outside King David School in Crumpsall.

Two mums on the school run and a teaching assistant were singled out in a foul-mouthed and ‘frightening’ tirade witnessed by kids, Manchester Crown Court heard.

Osman – an Iraqi Kurd who has settled in Britain – also shouted that Jewish people were ‘animals’ who ‘should not be allowed in this country’.

Say what you like about this chap, but he certainly doesn't do irony, does he?
The 36-year-old denied causing religiously aggravated harassment, alarm or distress in a trial, but was found guilty by the jury.

The court heard Osman launched his tirade on October 5, after a traffic jam formed on Seymour Road outside King David School.

Osman was on his way to Tesco when he got stuck in the congestion lost his temper at the driver in front of him, Sigal Bar-Ilan.

Caroline Franks told the court that she had collected her children, aged four and six, from the school, when she saw him shouting at Mrs Bar-Ilan.

When Mrs Franks got out of her vehicle to help the woman manoeuvre her car, Osman screamed vile racial insults at them both.

Mrs Bar-Ilan said her daughter began to cry and her son asked ‘Why’s the man shouting at you mummy?’ She told the jury the incident ‘scared the hell out of my children and out of me’.

Mrs Franks said the abuse continued even after she got back in her car, and Joanne Cantor, a teaching assistant, said she was ‘shocked’ by the rant, which led the victims to contact people.

Sentencing Osman, of Roch Bank, Blackley, Judge Stockdale said that his language had been of the ‘utmost offensiveness’.

He added: “Your rant on that afternoon crossed the boundary between what would have been ill-mannered, foul-mouthed loutish behaviour into the territory of criminal behaviour.

So, White admitted the charges against him, wasn't actually threatening or abusive to anyone, and seems to be a man with mental health issues who bizarrely thought leaving pork outside a mosque was some sort of revenge for the poppy-burning protest held by Muslims in London on Remembrance Day last year.

Osman genuinely has a violent hatred for a certain section of British society, and seems to be a man whose temper is on a knife-edge, even around children - plus he denied the charges against him and had to be subject to an expensive trial.

What penalty did Osman receive?

Sentencing him to a community order, Judge David Stockdale QC said it was a ‘particularly nasty offence’ – but did not warrant a jail sentence.
Of course it didn't.

In fact, many would probably be surprised at just what doesn't "warrant a jail sentence" in New Britain. Just so long as you keep those packets of bacon to yourself, you can pretty much do what you like.

It really is beginning to look like some thought criminals are more equal than others, isn't it?

Couple Violently Attacked in London - Children Called "White Devils"

The Croydon Advertiser reports on a shockingly violent crime perpetrated against a young couple (above), in front of their children, in a South Norwood restaurant:

A MOTHER and father left a pub covered in blood after they were attacked in front of their two young children.

The mother was punched in the face and slashed with a broken bottle after an argument at The Harvester, in Beulah Hill, Upper Norwood.

When the father stepped in to protect her, he was smashed over the head with a bottle.

The couple also claim their children, aged just 6 and 9, were racially abused.

The family, whose identity we have agreed to protect, is asking for help to catch their assailants.

"I can't sleep at night because I feel like my children are at risk that these people might come back," said the mother.

"Someone must know who these people are, so I would just plead with them to go to the police with any information they have.

"I just want to know my family is safe."

The family, who are from the Coulsdon area, went into the Harvester pub Beulah Spa at about 6.15pm on November 13.

They had just sat down when a group of five people came in.

The mother said a woman started the confrontation by suggesting she was looking at her.

When the father tried to defuse the situation, the others in the group began hurling racist abuse, even calling the couple's six-year-old a "white devil".

"It all happened really fast," the mother said. We stood up to leave and the woman punched me in the face.

"We were struggling and someone else smashed this bottle over my head from behind, the pain was blinding."

The mother suffered two black eyes and a cut to her head, while the father was treated at Croydon University Hospital for a gash to the back of his head. He has since returned to work, but has suffered concussion, while his partner has been having panic and anxiety attacks.

"I am scared all the time and I can't think of anything else," she added.

"It was one of the worst nights of my life and I just want to put it behind me."

A police spokesman said officers are investigating the attack, but no arrests have been made.

A spokesman for Mitchell and Butlers, which owns Harvester, said: "This was an isolated yet extremely serious incident which occurred between two groups of customers.

"Our staff called the police immediately to deal with the situation, and will do everything they can to assist with any subsequent police investigation."

Anyone with information can contact Croydon Police on 0300 123 1212 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Hmm.

Not one mention of this on the BBC, or in any of the national dailies.

Also, isn't it rather hard for the public to come forward with any information if they don't know what the assailants look like?

Might be a bit of a sensitive subject, I realise, but still.

Can you imagine the outcry if the reverse had happened? Five skin heads, broken bottles, "Black Devil"?

I think cases like this amply demonstrate that the dreaded sin of racism is alive and well in Britain - and those who denounce it the loudest are the most guilty of perpetuating it.

After all, these people don't matter, they're not part of some special interest group - it's not as if society can learn any valuable lessons from this crime, is it?

Actually, perhaps it can - and perhaps that's why the media do their best to avoid stories like this where possible.

Diversity & Islamic Cultural Enrichment in Scotland

In July 2009 I reported on the desire of Jim Murphy, the then-Scottish Secretary, for Scotland to become what he called a "melting pot".

Such was his desire for the vibrant, colourful customs and behaviour which can be found in any cursory search here at The Lambeth Walk that he even offered potential violent, primitive Third World chancers immigrants who chose to settle in Scotland a fast-track to British citizenship - so they could legally enrich us all.

I know what you're all thinking - what a caring, absolutely wonderful man that Jim Murphy must be - and how in touch with reality he is! May Allah take pity on his infidel soul.

Well, I have to admit that Jim's vision is starting to achieve results. Back in March, I reported that there were plans to open an Islamic cultural centre near to the site where Kriss Donald, a Scottish teenager, was brutally and callously murdered by a gang of Pakistani men simply for being white.

As if that wasn't enough of an insult to the Scottish people, two months before in January the killers of Kriss demanded compensation from the Scottish Prison Service - because it locked them in solitary confinement for their own protection:

THE jailed thugs who killed Kriss Donald are claiming damages for being locked in solitary confinement, we can reveal today.

Murderers Imran 'Baldy' Shahid, Zeeshan 'Crazy' Shahid and Mohammed 'Becks' Mushtaq were only put in solitary to protect them from other cons revolted by their racist crime.

But the whining murderers claim that being cooped up on their own has caused them mental damage.

And they are demanding thousands of pounds each from the public purse in compensation for the so-called breach of their human rights.

Becks's claim, the first of the three, is due to come to court on Friday.

All three killers have demanded Legal Aid to fight their cases and officials have yet to decide on their applications. ....

Baldy was jailed for a minimum of 25 years, Crazy for 23 years and Becks for 22. Baldy, 33, is in Shotts jail and has been in solitary since starting his sentence.

He claims being held alone has had a "detrimental effect on his physical and mental health".

His damages case will be heard on February 3. It's the latest in a long series of complaints by the thug about his conviction and sentence.

He claims he should be freed because there were no Asians on the jury that condemned him and his appeal is due to be heard this year.

Baldy has moaned before about being in solitary and has accused prison chiefs of leaving him in "spiritual isolation".
No Asians on the jury? Well, that's a clear miscarriage of justice then. Of course I'm joking, but in modern Britain there is no need for satire - back in 2008, "Baldy" tried to get his conviction quashed on that very basis - at our expense.

The presiding judge showed a sense of humour though:

At the Court of Criminal Appeal yesterday, lawyers argued that the killer had not been judged by a jury of his peers.

But Lord Nimmo Smith, who heard the application along with Lord Wheatley and Lord Abernethy, ruled: "His peers are fellow citizens of the United Kingdom."

As for spiritual isolation, I find it very hard to believe that any one who participated in what these animals did to Kriss could actually have a soul.

Anyway, Baldy continues to waste taxpayers money and spit in the face of Kriss's family whatever chance he gets - at his hearing over the solitary confinement case, he fired his lawyers at the last minute, meaning the hearing could not take place.

Ah well, I'm sure we'll buy him some better ones.

Anyone reading this can surely only be struck by the degree to which Scotland has improved with the presence of these fine, upstanding gentlemen.

But Jim Murphy's beautiful vision is not dead - things north of the border just keep getting better and better!

In August, a Pakistani thug was arrested for beating up his Scottish girlfriend in Aberdeen.

Naturally, mere infidels interfering in his business annoyed him, and he went on a bit of a tirade against the police, calling them "ginger, haggis-munching Scottish bastards" and telling them he would gladly blow them and any passersby up if he had the chance:

Pakistani Mohammed Amir launched the foul tirade - and threatened to blow 20 people up - as he was nicked for battering his girlfriend.

The 29-year-old lout told police officers he'd "gladly" wipe them out with passers-by during the arrest in an Aberdeen city centre street.

Yesterday, the city's sheriff court heard how Amir said: "I'm going to kill 20 of you and blow you to bits. F*** you, you haggis-munching ginger b******s. I'm going to bomb you white f*****s."

Remorseless Amir - who made rude gestures as he was led away to start an 18-month jail term - was convicted of a string of crimes.

He admitted punching Cindy Gordon in the street in February and racially abusing cops.

The yob pleaded guilty to threatening to stab a cabbie who had tried to stop him attacking Ms Gordon again just a month later. He also admitted theft and breaking bail conditions. Amir (below) was described as having problems with heroin use and anger-management.

Indeed. A shining example of Jim Murphy's vision, I would have thought. The Scottish government seem happy:

Last night Labour justice spokesman Richard Baker MSP said the public would be "relieved" the brute was behind bars.

He said: "This man deserved a custodial sentence and it's important that all racist offences are treated in that way by the courts."

A Scottish Government spokesman added: "There is no place for racism in Scotland. It is unacceptable and will not be tolerated."

I'm going to go out on a limb here; I bet that there are many Scottish people reading this who are wondering who has the bigger problem.

Is it Amir with his "anger management" issues, or the Scottish government with their baffling desire to fill what is actually quite a nice country in many ways with scum like this? I don't care if there's "no place for racism" in Scotland, whatever that even means; I wonder why there's a place for Muslim criminals who clearly despise the society they're preying on/leeching off/enriching, depending on your viewpoint.

The problem isn't racism as such; it's that treating the dregs of the Third World like kings feeds their entitlement and superioriy complexes - and if they happen to be Muslims, particularly younger Muslim males, those will probably be big enough as it is, despite little in the way of actual evidence for the truth of them.

The vibrant diversity seems destined to continue, however:

Muazim Ali Shah is accused of killing 47-year-old Lynne Farquhar at her flat in Rockmount Avenue, in the Barrhead area, on 26 September.

It is alleged that the 32-year-old repeatedly kicked and stamped on Ms Farquhar's head and body.

I wonder how many Scottish people the likes of Jim Murphy and Richard Baker will have on their consciences in the end?

Whose Country Is It Anyway?

Two Lithuanians have been sent to jail for attacking a man and his two daughters who confronted them about their anti-social behaviour.

The twist is that the man who was attacked, Mr Boateng, is black. Apparently, the two thugs made monkey noises before they attacked him.

Is this particularly relevant? Well, as he sentenced Mindaugus Krisiukenas, 20, and Paulius Kulikauskas, 24, the judge told them:

"It's their country, not yours."

Under no other circumstances would he have made such a remark - or been permitted to. If he had said that to any other foreign criminals, no matter how heinous the offence (I know that to the elite rape and murder are not as heinous as incorrect attitudes, but work with me here), he would have been denounced as a racist himself, and probably harassed out of his job.

I'm not condoning the behaviour of the two Lithuanians, or disputing that they deserve to go to prison; it's just that in my world, it is attacking an innocent family that warrants a custodial sentence, rather than stupid name calling or politically incorrect opinions.

I just thought this case was worthy of note; not once in my (unfortunately) extensive reading of all manner of crimes being perpetrated against British people in their own land by foreigners have I ever heard a judge express such a sentiment - or even felt that they would wish to, that they were thinking it very deep down.

The only conclusion that I can come to is that, in the view of the elite, whilst British-born minorities are entitled to be protected from unenlightened foreigners who do not have the benefits of political correctness, brain-washing from birth and diversity of their own, the rest of us are not entitled to be protected from foreign crime, from people who come from violent, hard societies where attitudes are often very different - and even expressing such a wish marks one out as a bigot.

For what does "It's their country, not yours," mean?

It means if you don't want to play the game and fit in, then you can leave, because you are not welcome.

If only we could persuade the majority of judges that that sentiment should apply to all violent crime and subversion of our society rather than being politically incorrect, then we might stand a fighting chance of saving our country.

Entire Streets Controlled by Muslim Gangs in Dewsbury

Police in Dewsbury continue to insist that parts of the town are not "no-go zones" for white people controlled by aggressive Muslim gangs.

The evidence to the contrary is mounting up, yet the authorities seem very reluctant to accept that they have a problem on their hands - after all, they are far too busy celebrating diversity and persecuting decent people for heinous offences such as standing up for themselves if attacked or feeding the ducks.

I can't say I'm hugely surprised - Dewsbury was the home town of a Muslim who escaped jail for sexually assaulting a young woman he met on a bus "because he was sexually inexperienced", an excuse the judge found perfectly reasonable.

The main problem seems to be in Savile Town. In August, The Lambeth Walk reported two very serious incidents from this area which were ignored by the national press - a large Muslim gang stoning a bus on at least two occasions, and three white boys being attacked by a gang for daring to walk through Savile Town.

Now, we have two more incidents which emanate from that area:
POLICE have insisted that Savile Town is not a “no-go area” despite two more reported attacks over the weekend.

On Saturday night a white teenage boy was attacked and beaten by a gang of Asians, some wearing masks.

The victim, thought to be about 18, was walking in Savile Road, near the old cricket ground, when he was followed by a gang of about 10 Asian youths, all wearing hoodies.

A couple driving past saw the gang following the boy and became suspicious.

By the time they had turned round the victim had been knocked to the ground and was being kicked.

The woman, aged 41, and her partner, who is 44, forced the attackers to run off.

The victim, who was bleeding from the nose, didn’t want to report the attack but the couple insisted on calling police. Officers arrived quickly and took the boy home.

The woman, who lives in Thornhill Lees, said the boy told them the gang had followed him and told him to “run”.

When he tried to ignore them they came after him and one said: “No one walks through Savile Town.”

The woman said: “If we hadn’t stopped I don’t know what would have happened.

“We wanted to make sure it was reported to the police and put down as a racist attack because that was what it was.”

That attack happened at 9.10pm on Saturday and at 4.10pm on Sunday police were called to reports of Asian youths throwing stones at passing cars in Savile Road.

Andy Cutler, 36, of Thornhill, told how his car was targeted by the yobs. He pulled up and phoned police.

While he did so another driver, also white, stopped and said the same had happened to him.

“They were just targeting white drivers,” said Mr Cutler. “As far as I’m concerned it’s racist and it needs to be reported.”

Indeed, Mr Cutler. After all, what's good for the goose...

The week before these two incidents, a 45 year old man called Robert Dyson was beaten and left nrusing cuts and bruises by a "gang of Asian youths" in Savile Town.

Before that, 14 year old Joseph Haigh was attacked with a brick and a screwdriver by a large "Asian" gang screaming racial abuse about white people, before being left for dead. Naturally, the police didn't think there was a racial motive:
A TEENAGE boy was knocked unconscious with a house brick, stabbed with a screwdriver and “left for dead” in a vicious race attack.

Joseph Haigh, 14, was savagely beaten by the gang of up to 15 Asian youths in Thornhill on Friday night.

The gang hurled racist abuse at him, constantly referring to the colour of his skin, yet police refused to classify the attack as racially-motivated.

Joseph’s dad Jonathan, 42, of Thornhill, said: “It was a racist attack.

“They were calling him ‘white trash’ and white this, that and the other.

“This is why people are angry about what is happening in this country.

“If it had been an attack by whites on an Asian lad it would have been a definite race attack. When it’s the other way round they don’t want to know.”

Joseph was out with his friends at around 9pm on Friday near Thornhill’s Rectory Park when the gang of Asians, said to be aged 18-20, came at them.

Joseph’s friends scattered and Joseph tried to make off on his bike, only to be confronted by one of the thugs who smashed him in the head with half a brick.

Mr Haigh, a lorry driver, told how that blow knocked his son unconscious and he instinctively put his hands over his face to protect himself.

Another youth lunged at him with a screwdriver while others kicked and punched him about the head.

Mr Haigh said: “They went to stab him in the face and it was only because he had his hands up that they missed.

“He was stabbed in one hand, his other hand was broken and a cut on his forehead was down to the bone.

“If they had hit him a bit harder with the house brick they could have killed him.

“They just left him for dead.”

Joseph’s teeth were also badly damaged and he may lose a tooth. His teeth were wired and he needed specialist treatment at the trauma unit at Leeds General Infirmary.

One of Joseph’s friends raised the alarm and when Mr Haigh arrived his son was laid out in a bus shelter covered in blood.

Joseph’s bike was also missing and was believed to have been stolen by the gang.

Joseph was off school all week and tensions were said to be running high at Thornhill Community Science College.

“It’s shocking what’s happened,” said Mr Haigh. “I have lived in Thornhill all my life and there were fights between whites and Asians 20 years ago. But this wasn’t braying someone and giving them a black eye, it was a vicious attack.

“You don’t go out with a house brick and a screwdriver if you’re not going to seriously hurt someone.”

Mr Haigh, who has a wife Stacey, 40, and another son James, 19, said he wanted out of Dewsbury.

“It used to be a good, thriving town but Dewsbury has got nothing to offer us anymore.”

A police spokesman said the initial police report had not classified the attack as racially-motivated but inquiries were continuing.

Well, the police have now gone to the "Asian community" and asked for assistance (whilst demonstrating who actually controls large parts of the town) - and they were obviously pleased when their actions paid dividends, and they were able to make five arrests.

So pleased, in fact, that they immediately released three of the suspects on bail!

Two of the men were charged with being involved in the attack on Robert Dyson, and appeared in court - only to be released on bail again, despite refusing to enter pleas:
Sohail Hussain, 18, and 20-year-old Ali Mushtaq both appeared from custody at Batley and Dewsbury Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.

They were charged with a racially-aggravated assault on Robert Dyson in Savile Road, Savile Town, on Friday October 23.

Hussain, of Headfield Road, Savile Town, was also charged with carrying a knuckle duster. No pleas were entered.

Mushtaq, of Deighton, Huddersfield, and Hussain were both released on conditional bail until a committal hearing on December 30.

So, despite the reassurances of Dewsbury police, it probably is best to avoid these areas if at all possible - we all know that even if caught and convicted, the culprits will not be punished, and the national media don't care about these incidents either - because the are the wrong sort of racist.

Mother Banned from Post Office for Sending Care Parcels to Soldier Son

This story comes from BNP Wales, and as yet I can find no other sources. It deserves to be told, however:
Cardiff, August 2009.

Mrs. Davies’ 21 year old son is a soldier in a Welsh Regiment which recently began an eight month tour of duty in Afghanistan. For many Mothers with sons on active service for their country, it can be a constant worry until they return safe, and whilst TV news of ‘another soldier has been killed yesterday’ may cause many of us to mourn their loss and curse dishonest Labour politicians, for a Mother it can be a heart-stopping moment. It is of great significance then, to be able to go to her local post office to send her son a parcel from home.

Except that for some people now living in this country, such as Mr. Khan, the owner of Mrs. Davies’ local post office in Wilson Road, Ely, Cardiff, they clearly don’t share the same values or principles as the British. When Mr. Khan asked Mrs. Davies where her ‘boy’ was and found out that he was serving in Afghanistan, something he clearly didn’t approve of, he banned her from his shop and post office and instructed his staff to refuse to serve her. This public humiliation in his shop took place in front of witnesses and left Mrs. Davies astonished, frustrated and upset. Even a neighbour who later offered to post her parcel was refused.

If this is true, Mr Khan's actions are not only morally reprehensible, they are also in breach of his contract with the Post Office, not to mention probably illegal.

Is this the kind of country our troops currently in Afghanistan should have to return to?

***UPDATE*** 25th August 2009:

I've still not seen any independent verification of this story.

There are two groups on Facebook - one, over 400 strong, supporting Mrs Davies, the other over 50 strong alleging she is a well known local trouble maker and calling anyone who believes this story "racist scum".

I have googled the statement allegedly made by Mr Khan or those associated with him, left by an anonymous commenter, and nothing comes up.

If this genuinely was a lie, surely the press and the UAF thugs would have had a field day with it?

***UPDATE*** 25th August 2009 15:02:

I have received an email from a Mr Cook of Cardiff who says he has contacted the area's local MP, Kevin Brennan, and it was through him Mr Khan and Mrs Thomas issued the following statement:
“There is absolutely no truth in the allegation made to the British National Party that the Post Office in Wilson Road, Ely, Cardiff will not accept parcels for British troops in Afghanistan.

It should not be repeated and we reserve the right to pursue legal action against any person or body repeating the allegation and call for its removal from any website or other publication.

The Wilson Road Post Office has always accepted and continues to accept such parcels. Indeed the Wilson Road shops including the Post Office recently held a ‘Heroes Collection’ for British troops.

The allegation is false and malicious and related to a separate dispute with a customer. As a result that customer is not welcome at these premises but our services can be accessed by someone else on her behalf if they so wish.”

The Joys of Diversity in the BBC

Recently Patrick Younge, one of the BBC's top black executives, called for TV bosses to be fired if they fail to meet racial diversity targets.

Now that faces in front of the camera have been diversified to the point where some ethnic minorities feel they are vastly overrepresented, the focus is on the other side - technical staff, managers and senior executives:

One of the BBC’s top black executives has called for TV bosses to be sacked if they fail to meet racial diversity targets.

Patrick Younge, who is set to take over at BBC Vision, the corporation’s programme-making section, claimed there was not enough ‘internal pressure’ for change.

He has said the targets should be treated like financial aims, suggesting that if bosses miss them they should pay the consequences.

His comments may be particularly embarrassing for the corporation’s top executives – as the BBC has failed to hit its own targets.

This year’s annual report showed it set a figure of 12.5 per cent of staff to come from black and minority backgrounds, but managed 12.1 per cent.

Its record for top staff was worse – it hoped to get 7 per cent of senior managers from this group but ended up with 5.6 per cent.

Mr Younge suggested there was a lack of progress in the TV industry over employing a more multicultural workforce.

He also singled out ITV for particular criticism, saying it did not have any black or Asian commissioning editors.

His comments, reported in industry magazine Broadcast, were made at a diversity forum at the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts.

He said: ‘At (the Edinburgh Festival) last year, I said that senior executives should be held to account and lose their jobs if they fail to meet diversity targets.

‘I will have my own targets when I join BBC Vision and I must live up to what I have said – or face losing my job.’

He added: ‘There has been a lot of pressure for change over the years from outside the industry. But there’s been no internal pressure, which is what will bring about the progress.’
There are many sinister things about diversity targets. The first is that they are, quite obviously, a form of social engineering.

They are an attempt to make the British public get used to the sort of society which the elites wished to thrust upon us.

They are also a form of control in some ways; white staff might feel marginalised to the point where they won't criticise the management, because they know that all it takes is a well placed accusation of racism and they will be fired - paving the way, of course, for the workforce to become ever more diverse.

In turn, ethnic minority staff will feel part of the power structure - whilst also knowing that they are there to meet the targets set up by that power structure. This is a powerful incentive for them to support the status quo and not rock the boat.

For me, the worst part is that they encourage mediocrity.

In a society which relies solely on targets, black talent will be recognised less, not more - everyone will simply assume that black people in high positions either fulfilled a quota or played the race card - although, of course, they will never dare say it.

There is also the danger of hiring undesirable, unsuitable or unqualified candidates - simply because of the colour of their skin.

Two recent incidents demonstrate that in their desperation to appear diverse, the BBC must have pretty much thrown standards out of the window when hiring.

The first concerns Ashley Blake, a former BBC news presenter sacked after being convicted of beating a youth with an umbrella pole - then hiding it and lying to the police:

A BBC newsreader attacked a teenager with a large wooden pole while on a night out with friends, a court has heard.

Former Watchdog presenter Ashley Blake is alleged to have hit Greg Jones in the face with the one-and-a-half inch thick pole.

The 17-year-old was at the Place 2B in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham - which Blake used to run - for an 18th birthday party when the attack happened.

The teen was left with serious facial injuries.

Blake has worked as the BBC's regional art and entertainment correspondent.

He also worked as a presenter on consumer programme Watchdog before moving to Birmingham, where he could be seen regularly presenting Midlands Today and Inside Out.

The jury at Birmingham Crown Court was today shown CCTV footage of the BBC Midlands Today newsreader running into the bar at the end of the night and grabbing the pole - which was just over 3ft long and had a screw coming out one end.

Prosecuting Naomi Gilchrist, told the court: "The defendant went into the premises and got that pole from behind the bar.

"He started swinging the pole and shouting threats.

"He swung the pole and raised it above his head using both hands and hit Greg Jones in the face.

"He stumbled back and put his hand to his face and realised there was a lot of blood - it was clear Greg Jones was badly injured."

The court heard that a friend of the victim, Adam Finn, had been knocked out by a single blow to the face by another man, Stephen Sproule, seconds earlier.

Sproule, 38, had previously pleaded guilty to assault.

The prosecution say Blake, 40, lashed out after Jones had asked him to call an ambulance for his friend, who was lying on the floor unconscious.

Blake is also accused of trying to dispose of the pole after the incident, which happened in the early hours of January 25.

Miss Gilchrist added: "The pole, after it was used by the defendant to hit Greg Jones, was put back behind the bar by the bar manager but the poll did not remain behind the bar.

"Because shortly after police arrived the defendant took it and he disposed of it by throwing it over the fence into the next door premises in an attempt to get rid of it so the police could not find it."

The jury was told that Blake told officers at the scene he needed to go to the toilet - but went to get rid of the pole instead.

He pleaded not guilty to wounding with intent to cause GBH and unlawful wounding.

He is also accused of attempting to pervert the course of justice, which he denies.

Sounds like a model employee, doesn't he?

The second concerns every BBC executive's dream, the black historian Lawrence Westgaph:

The 34-year-old BBC expert flew into a rage, repeatedly punching his love rival in the face and fracturing his eye socket, a court was told.

At one point, it was even thought he had bitten the other man's ear off.

Westgaph, who has appeared on TV and radio discussing the slave trade, could now be jailed after admitting a serious assault.

It turns out that this incident is far from the only undesirable thing about Westgaph:

And yet, as the Mail discovered this week, Westgaph achieved all this having left school at 16 with just a handful of GCSEs. He did not go to university until last year, when, despite his lack of a first degree, he was accepted onto an MA course in Atlantic History by Liverpool University. (He is said to be studying now for a PhD).

Having cultivated an academic image for himself, Westgaph found himself in strong demand by the likes of the BBC, who were apparently unconcerned at his lack of serious credentials.

In its desire to have a black man with a veneer of respectability lecturing the nation about slavery and how very evil its past is, this is the best the BBC could come up with - a violent thug, a sex offender without serious credentials.

Frankly any system of targets by them, which lets potential employees off of proper vetting, should be suspect indeed.

'Asian' Teens Shouted "White Trash" at Social Worker

From The Lancashire Evening Post:
A group of students has admitted hurling racist abuse at a female social care worker in Lancashire.

Two 16-year-olds and two 17-year-olds, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, admitted to committing a racially aggravated public order offence on April 1.

The youths were sentenced to a six-month referral order and ordered to pay compensation.

Mohammed Akubat, 18, of Queens Road, Fulwood, was also bound to keep the peace for the sum of £100 for six months but was not convicted of any criminal offence.

The court heard how the teenagers had been "play fighting" down an alley when the worker, who cares for the elderly and disabled, approached them to walk towards the entrance of a building.

Don Green, prosecuting, said obscene racist language was hurled towards the woman which included "white trash", "white bitch" and a range of other verbal abuse.

He added: "She was obviously upset at what happened and upset at what was going on.

"The complainant has had a difficult time – there have been problems regarding her confidence.

"She is certainly a very different person than what she was."
The solicitor said the complainant has been losing sleep and taking medication following the incident.

James Ball, who spoke for two of the defendants, said: "This offence happened in a matter of seconds and fortunately the young lady involved was not harmed in anyway but they accept it must be very distressing to her."

The other defendants made similar statements through their solicitors.
It was emphasised that all of the defendants have potentially "bright futures" ahead and no previous criminal records.

Steve Scott, defending Akubat, argued that his client was in the "wrong place at the wrong time".

He was subsequently ordered to keep the peace but unlike his co-defendants was not convicted of any criminal charge. Presiding magistrate Keith Neary said: "This is a very, very nasty incident and the court takes a very, very dim view of what we have heard."

He ordered the youths to pay £50 each in compensation to the victim and a further £50 each in court costs.

The youngsters were also given referral orders for six months and must report to the Lancashire Youth Offending Team.

After sentencing the youths, he said to the victim: "You may think that the sentence is inappropriate for the action taken against you.

"In the case of youths, these were people with previous good character and the sentences available to the court in such circumstances are limited and we have had to impose the sentence within the guidelines."

Two Racist Attacks in the U.S.

When is a hate crime not a hate crime?

In Ohio, a white family was attacked after they had celebrated Independence Day by dozens of black youths, screaming 'this is our world' and 'this is a black world'.

Astoundingly, it seems that the police don't qualify this crime as in anyway racist - despite the fact that someone ended up in hospital:

Akron police say they aren't ready to call it a hate crime or a gang initiation.

But to Marty Marshall, his wife and two kids, it seems pretty clear.

It came after a family night of celebrating America and freedom with a fireworks show at Firestone Stadium. Marshall, his family and two friends were gathered outside a friend's home in South Akron.

Out of nowhere, the six were attacked by dozens of teenage boys, who shouted ''This is our world'' and ''This is a black world'' as they confronted Marshall and his family.

The Marshalls, who are white, say the crowd of teens who attacked them and two friends June 27 on Girard Street numbered close to 50. The teens were all black.

''This was almost like being a terrorist act,'' Marshall said. ''And we allow this to go on in our neighborhoods?''

They said it started when one teen, without any words or warning, blindsided and assaulted Marshall's friend as he stood outside with the others.

When Marshall, 39, jumped in, he found himself being attacked by the growing group of teens.

His daughter, Rachel, 15, who weighs about 90 pounds, tried to come to his rescue. The teens pushed her to the ground.

His wife, Yvonne, pushed their son, Donald, 14, into bushes to keep him protected.

''My thing is,'' Marshall said, ''I didn't want this, but I was in fear for my wife, my kids and my friends. I felt I had to stay out there to protect them, because those guys were just jumping, swinging fists and everything.

''I'm lucky. They didn't break my ribs or bruise my ribs. I thank God, they concentrated on my thick head because I do have one. They were trying to take my head off my spine, basically.''

After several minutes of punches and kicks, the attack ended and the group ran off. The Marshalls' two adult male friends were not seriously hurt.

''I don't think I thought at that moment when I tried to jump in,'' Rachel Marshall said. ''But when I was laying on the ground, I was just scared.''

Marshall was the most seriously injured. He suffered a concussion and multiple bruises to his head and eye. He said he spent five nights in the critical care unit at Akron General Medical Center.

The construction worker said he now fears for his family's safety, and the thousands of dollars in medical bills he faces without insurance.

''I knew I was going to get beat, but not as bad as I did,'' Marshall said. ''But I did it to protect my family. I didn't have a choice. There was no need for this. We should be all getting along. But to me, it seems to be racist.''

Akron police are investigating. Right now, the case is not being classified as a racial hate crime. There were no other reports of victims assaulted by the group that night.

The department's gang unit is involved in the investigation, police said.

''We don't know if it's a known gang, or just a group of kids,'' police Lt. Rick Edwards said.

The Marshalls say they fear retaliation at home or when they go outside. They are considering arming themselves, but they're concerned about the possible problems that come with guns.

For now, they are hoping police can bring them suspects. They believe they can identify several of the attackers.

''This makes you think about your freedom,'' Marshall said. ''In all reality, where is your freedom when you have this going on?'

On Sunday, a 30 year old Long Island railway worker was attacked by a large gang of black youths, and is in a critical condition after being repeatedly kicked and punched in the head an body.

In this instance, police were willing to concede that a 'possible' hate crime had been committed:

A white Valley Stream man remained in critical condition Monday after police said he was beaten by a group of young African-American assailants in what authorities are investigating as a possible hate crime.

The 30-year-old victim, a Long Island Rail Road worker, was not identified by police, who said the attack was unprovoked.

The victim was repeatedly punched and kicked in the face, head and body at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday by a group of about 12 to 15 male and female assailants, said Nassau police Det. Sgt. Anthony Repalone. The man had gone outside to move his car off the street during a July Fourth party when he was attacked, Repalone said.

He sustained a concussion and fractured eye socket, Repalone said. "There is no motive at this time," Repalone said Monday.

Investigators are looking to see whether the assault was motivated by race, he said.

"A witness heard someone in the crowd make a comment that the police will follow up to determine whether or not this attack was racially motivated," Repalone said. "It's too early at this time to make that determination."

Repalone would not describe what was said that could lead police to determine that the man was beaten because of his race.

Monday, a woman, who did not want to be identified but said the victim was her brother, said he has multiple fractures in his face and jaw.

She said a fight in the group of teenagers had started before her brother went to move his car.

"They were having a conflict," she said. "I assume maybe they thought he was getting involved."

The mother's 911 call was picked up by New York City emergency services and redirected to Nassau County, Repalone said. The call was disconnected and the Nassau operator called back, Repalone said, but was unable to reach anyone.

The man did not seek medical treatment, and his family did not call police again until more than 13 hours after the attack, Repalone said. Police said the man and his family may have underestimated the extent of his injuries. He was eventually taken to South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside, where police said he remained in critical but stable condition Monday.

He parked his car in the driveway and that's when the teenagers approached him, police said.

I have no idea if either of these cases made the national media in the States, but I probably don't need to tell you that we didn't see so much as a glimpse of them on the BBC.

On the other hand, the Daily Mail did see fit to report on this crime from a small Canadian town, in which a black man was attacked by three racist thugs. Terrible, surely, but at least there weren't 'dozens' of them.

As our American cousins say - go figure.

Hat tip: View from the Right.

Business as Usual in South Africa

Many realists are predicting that the wave of violent crime plaguing South Africa, much of it racist in nature, will marr and possibly ruin the 2010 World Cup tournament.

There are two recent stories of British fans being violently attacked and robbed in the country whilst following the Lions rugby tour. FIFA has sat up and taken notice, but the ANC have 'guaranteed' they can provide the security necessary to make the World Cup safe for anyone other than themselves.

The first story concerns a British man who lost two pints of blood and the hearing in his left ear when he was hit over the head with a 'rock or a hammer':

Rugby fan Midge Ferguson is warning other supporters to take care after he was mugged following the Lions in South Africa and left with a fractured skull.

Mr Ferguson, 43, from Cardiff, was hit over the head and robbed while walking a short distance between his friend's hotel and his own in Bloemfontein.

He said he lost two pints of blood and has lost hearing in his left ear.

South Africa is hosting the 2010 football World Cup and he warned all sport fans to "be sensible" there.

Yes, be sensible - take a taxi the 200 yards between your hotel and a friend's. At least he is realistic about the outcome:

"The police said if they caught somebody, they would charge them with attempted murder," he said, although he thought it was unlikely that anyone would be caught.

Mr Ferguson was not just a random victim, however; earlier in the week four British fans were carjacked by armed men:

Johannesburg - Four British rugby fans on Saturday told how they were beaten up and robbed by armed thugs in South Africa shortly after their arrival on the same night that the Egyptian side in a key football tournament became the victims of thieves.

Brothers Michael, 57, and Peter Harriott, 58, and Simon 57, and John Murphy, 52, flew into Johannesburg on Thursday night for the British and Irish Lions tour.

In an interview published by the Saturday Star, the men said the robbers had followed them as they drove to a guesthouse in the plush northern Johannesburg suburb of Sandton where they were due to check in.

"A black Mercedes-Benz boxed us in and four men appeared with guns. They surrounded our car. They ordered us out of the car and told us to lie on the floor and remove our wallets and watches," Michael Harriott said.

He was punched in the nose when he tried to grab one of the robbers' guns, according to the report.

"They threw me to the ground and, the next thing, one of the robbers got into our hired car, while the other three jumped in theirs. They sped off with our luggage."

Last week, one of the new stadiums built for the World Cup was attacked by armed robbers after an international rugby game.

The robbery at the sports bar of the new Nelson Mandela Bay stadium in the southern city of Port Elizabeth took place on Tuesday afternoon, after a game between the British and Irish Lions and the provincial Southern Kings side.

For the ordinary people of South Africa, such things are normal - the only difference being, much worse crimes rarely make the BBC news.

Earlier this month, a Johannesburg doctor was stabbed to death and his practice burned to the ground in a completely brutal and senseless crime:
A Rosettenville doctor was stabbed to death at his practice before the establishment was set alight, Johannesburg police said on Friday.

Inspector Lorraine van Emmerick said Doctor Michael Sprenger, 55, was working late at his practice on Thursday night, when the incident happened.

"It is believed that he was stabbed by an unknown suspect or suspects, and then his practice was set alight with his body in it," she said.

"When the fire was noticed by nearby residents in the area, police and the fire brigade were called in.

"After extinguishing the fire, the doctor's badly burnt body was found inside."

The practice was owned by three other doctors, but they were not there at the time of the incident.

Investigations into his murder were continuing, Van Emmerick said.
As with the first case, the police do nothing but make excuses. He was working late, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time - as if this in some small way justifies what happened. The problem is that South Africa now has a soaring violent crime rate and an increasingly incompetent police force, not to mention racial tensions which too frequently spill over into violence.

At the beginning of June, a judge jailed two carjackers who murdered Jennifer-Rae Hall, branding them 'merciless':
Monstrous and merciless.

That is how a Durban High Court judge described the murder and hijacking of beauty therapist Jennifer-Rae Hall before he sentenced one of the hijackers to life imprisonment on Monday.

Hall, 22, of Winston Park, Gillitts, was killed and her friend, Kate Flemming, was wounded when they were shot in a hijacking at Amanzimtoti on June 14 last year. Amy Lansdell, who was also in the car, was not injured. The car they were travelling in was stolen.

The three had been on their to a Scottburgh caravan park to watch the sardine run and had stopped to change drivers.

Sifundo Mkhize, 23, of Illovo township, near Amanzimtoti, was convicted of Hall's murder, and further charges of attempted murder and robbery with aggravating circumstances.

Mkhize had denied his involvement, saying he had been at home at the time.

In addition to the life sentence, Mkhize was also sentenced to 15 years for robbery with aggravating circumstances and 10 years for attempted murder. These sentences would run concurrently with the life sentence. He would not be eligible for parole until he had served at least 25 years.

Judge Ronald McLaren said Sduduzo Madida, who was an accomplice after the crime, had been a good witness. Madida testified that he had seen Mkhize and another man in a white VW Polo on June 14. He, Mkhize and others had used the vehicle to go to a wedding at Gingindlovu later that day.

Madida had been granted indemnity against prosecution in return for his testimony.

While the State did not prove that Mkhize had shot Hall, the judge found that he had acted in common purpose with his accomplice, who fired the shots and who has not been arrested.

"The State proved the falsity of the alibi of (Mkhize). The accused and his co-assailant acted in common purpose to rob the victims," the judge said.

Judge McLaren said: "In a business area in Amanzimtoti, they literally pounced on their victims. The victims were not given the opportunity to surrender their property in exchange for their lives. The deceased (Hall) was shot in cold blood at close range before she was given an opportunity to hand over the keys to the car. This all happened in broad daylight. Society is disgusted by the wanton lawlessness and brutality of the assailants."

Surrounded by friends and supporters outside court, a tearful Lansdell said she was pleased with the sentence.

"I am glad that justice has been done and that it is over. We are happy with the sentence but it will never bring Jennifer back. It is also very sad that Jennifer's parents could not be here because her father is very ill."

Lansdell thanked the supporters who had attended the case, including a wheelchair-bound woman who had flown from Johannesburg to attend the trial because her husband had also been killed in a hijacking.

Speaking from London, Hall's brother, Justin, echoed Lansdell's sentiments. "It doesn't bring Jen back but he got what he deserved. I wish that I was there or that I could fly to be with my family. My mom just called me and told me he got a life sentence and started crying."

He said his family was considering hiring a private investigator to find Mkhize's accomplice.
That is what it has come to. A young woman, brutally murdered for nothing, some of her family not being able to attend the trial because they live in self-imposed exile because of violence, and to add insult to injury, they have to hire a private investigator to find one of the violent criminals who did this.

Will that be making the BBC any time soon?

I doubt it. But those who wish to travel to South Africa for the World Cup deserve to know the truth, just as the innocent people of South Africa deserve to live in civilised peace.

Government Sends out 2,000 Fake CVs to Catch 'Racist' Companies

With the country still potentially facing total economic meltdown, an unprecedented leap in violent crime of all kinds and a complete failure to control the borders, plus its worst election performance since records began, you would imagine that the government here in Britain had a lot to worry about.

Apparently, you would be wrong.

This is what passes for constructive use of civil servants' time and taxpayers money:

Ministers were embroiled in a row last night over an extraordinary covert operation to expose racist businesses.

Civil servants have fabricated more than 2,000 job applications and concocted hundreds of false names to try to catch out bigoted managers.

Work and Pensions Secretary Yvette Cooper’s department has secretly applied for 1,000 separate jobs with made-up CVs.

The bizarre operation – condemned as ‘unethical and underhand’ by business leaders – is designed to reveal whether employers turn down applicants simply because of their names.

It could lead to a law banning firms from asking for job applicants’ names until the interview stage, amid claims that such a measure will also help women combat sexism.

A DWP spokesman said the department had responded to 1,000 job vacancies using false identities but with very similar CVs to see if a person’s name was a factor in whether they were given an interview. ‘The names are made up,’ she said.

Typically, officials put in two or three applications per job, with one under a traditional Anglo-Saxon name and others using an ethnic minority-sounding name, The Mail on Sunday understands.

Applications under women’s names were also submitted to ‘keep it realistic’, the spokesman said.

‘We can’t tell you what jobs, what companies, which sectors have been involved. There were 1,000 jobs involved. If someone gets an interview call, it goes through to a mobile phone number which politely declines an interview.’

The research is due to be published later this summer but Vera Baird, the Solicitor General, last week revealed the initial findings. ‘There was quite a strong sense that there is race discrimination going on,’ she said.

‘If you call yourself Patel, as opposed to Smith, then you get less opportunity.’

Ms Baird, now piloting Deputy Labour Leader Harriet Harman’s Equality Bill through the Commons, confirmed the no-names job application rule could be added to the Bill. ‘It could theoretically help, particularly young women. It might help because we are sure there’s a lot of pregnancy discrimination,’ she said.

However, the project was condemned by business leaders.

Gareth Elliott, of the British Chambers of Commerce, said it had strongly advised against the research because it was ‘unethical and a complete waste of time’.

‘We are completely shocked to hear the DWP has gone ahead. Businesses have enough on their plate without having to deal with the underhand tactics of the DWP.’

Theresa May, the Shadow Work and Pensions Secretary, also criticised the operation as a ‘waste of taxpayers’ cash’. She backed moves to clamp down on discrimination but said the idea of banning bosses from initially requiring the names of job applicants was ‘unworkable’.

Challenged to justify the ethics of the operation, Ms Baird said: ‘Well, I don’t know because I wasn’t party to that research. I’ve only discovered it since I have been responsible for the [Equality] Bill. It’s a piece of legitimate research, isn’t it?’

The DWP said it was ‘right to find out if there was an issue regarding people being discriminated against because of their ethnicity when applying for jobs’.

Employers’ organisation the CBI called the proposals ‘unrealistic’. ‘Job applicants are already protected from discrimination when going through the recruitment process and can take legal action if treated differently,’ it said.

It's an old cliche - but the lunatics really are running the asylum.

The frightening thing is that even when caught out and challenged about this, the government simply insists it knows best and is doing us all a huge favour.

Employers should be able to employ whoever they like, without interference from the state. If one recruitment policy is inferior to another for whatever reason, then presumably economic performance and potential for company growth and success will reflect that.

God help us all.
