"The Muslim Boys" Attack Prisoner over Remembrance Day

The Daily Mirror reports that a white inmate at HMP Belmarsh was attacked and seriously injured by "The Muslim Boys" gang last week.

A different white inmate had chastised two members of the gang for failing to show any respect on Remembrance Sunday, when they continued a game of table tennis during the two minutes' silence. This prompted him to grab the ball to prevent the game.

In response, five members of the gang went looking for any white inmate they could find to exact revenge, and ended up attacking a man with boiling water and a glass jar in a sock, which left him needing emergency surgery.

Three of the attackers were sent to solitary confinement, whilst the other two gathered yet more members of the gang and attempted to ambush another white inmate, but he bested them.
Of course, The Mirror has nothing to say about the evils of racism and discrimination in this instance, simply quoting a prison insider:
Two white cons have been moved away, while the Muslim Boys will be dealt with at the prison. A Belmarsh source said: "Tensions are simmering. It's very worrying."

The article claims that "The Muslim Boys" are an al-Qaeda splinter group, but I'm not sure this is true - they are simply a glaring example of the remarkable hole this country has dug for itself through its immigration policies.

"The Muslim Boys" began as a group of mainly black criminals from south London who converted to Islam in prison. They regarded the name as something outsiders called them, referring to themselves as the "Poverty Driven Children" (good to see they at least learned one thing at school, then - it's all whitey's fault).

They acquired a fearsome reputation on the streets of Lambeth and Southwark, where their specialty was robbing drug dealers and demanding protection money from other criminals - all whilst wearing long leather coats and waving Mac-10 submachine guns.

As their power grew, they began intimidating local imams to open mosques in the early hours so they could pray after stealing, as well as forcing other young black men to convert to Islam at gunpoint.

At least one, Anthony Marriott, was shot in the head and killed for refusing them.

By 2004, pretty much all London's other black criminal gangs were united against them - but that only drove them to more violence.

In December 2004, PC Liam Morrow was shot in the legs after being alerted to suspicious activity:

PC Morrow, 23, was shot three times in his legs, in Madeira Avenue, Bromley, on December 20, last year.

Five officers went to the street just after midnight following reports four men in a car were acting suspiciously.

Khan and his three accomplices fled in the direction of Highland Road when officers approached them and PC Morrow was shot as they fled.

He returned to work in May and has vowed the incident will not affect his work.

He said: "I'm not scared. I have wanted to be a policeman all my life and nothing will stop me from doing my job."

Some linked the man convicted, Zartash Khan, to the Muslim Boys.

However, as the authorities crowed that many of the gang's leading figures were being jailed, its effectiveness was being reduced and it didn't have any "genuine Islamic links" anyway, it was well known by 2005 that the Muslim Boys were making a hell of a reputation for themselves in HMP Belmarsh:

Inside Belmarsh jail, the Muslim Boys have imported their savage and ferocious behavior. They have carved for themselves a unique position within the prison hierarchy, feared by inmates and treated with caution by prison officers. To achieve this, they have violently attacked inmates and staff alike.

In December 2005, a leaked internal security report from the jail stated: “Prisoners reported abuse, assaults, intimidation and threats. Some of the atrocities were carried out with impunity during associations causing victims to fear for their lives. Most of the perpetrators are believed to be members of the Muslim Boys gang who intensified their drive to recruit other prisoners to the fold. They force prisoners to accept the Muslim faith - those who refuse suffer assaults. They promise potential converts protection from other prisoners and staff who they challenge at every opportunity.”

A month later, a source inside the prison stated: “The Muslim Boys’ gang master orders most of the assaults on fellow prisoners. They rule through fear and are very hard to infiltrate.”

In February 2006, a prominent member of the Muslim Boys gang led an attack upon prison staff that led to a riot in the prison’s high security unit. A prison guard was set upon by two inmates. Two of these were Muslim Boys gang members. Another prisoner then joined in. The officer was hit around his head and upper body with a pool cue and also a sock that had been filled with cans of tuna. He received cuts and needed hospital treatment. The incident led to further violence in which two other prison guards were also attacked. One of these was punched and kicked in the shower block of the unit, and the other was assaulted in the medical treatment room. About ten prisoners and ten staff fought with each other, and five prisoners were given disciplinary action.

On Good Friday, April 14 2006, one member of the Muslim Boys was “punished” for trying to convert out of Islam. When the Belmarsh prisoner was in the toilet, eight Muslim Boys gang members attacked him. The victim received head injuries. When prison officers tried to intervene, they too were attacked. The Home Office denied that the attack had been a serious incident, but a spokesperson said that four men were being subjected to “administrative action.”

In May 2007, a leading member of the Muslim Boys gang again led an attack upon Belmarsh prison staff. On the morning of May 4, this individual was asked to hand over his laptop computer to a prison officer. In March 2006 the prison had controversially authorized the issue of laptop computers costing £1,000 apiece ($1,958) to 28 of the prisoners in the jail, including terror suspects and Abu Hamza. The prison authorities argued that these computers were to be used for prisoners to prepare their legal defenses.

The Muslim Boys gang member had been suspected of using a smuggled card to enable his laptop computer to be connected to the internet. He refused to give the computer to the officer and then punched and kicked him. Other prisoners then joined in, brandishing pool cues. When the security alarm was sounded, three more prison officers were attacked, in what was regarded by staff as a pre-planned assault. One of the prison officers received a broken chin and another underwent shoulder injuries.

And the prison authorities are only just concerned about "tensions simmering over"?

No - they are concerned that the public will find out just who runs parts of HMP Belmarsh, and their masters at the Home Office (or the "Justice Ministry" are whatever it's called this week) will be held to account at the ballot box, as they deserve to be.

Blindness Vs. Islam in America

A Vietnam war veteran from Florida has attempted to send a bouquet of flowers to Fort Hood gunman Nidal Malik Hasan, lauding him as a "hero":
Just a day after the horrific shooting, Ross ordered a bouquet of yellow roses costing $59.95 to be delivered to Hasan in the hospital.
Ross included a note with the flowers, which read “Major Nidal Hasan. Qur’an Chapter 2: Verse 190-3. In God’s eye, those who submit, you are a hero.”

Ross, a former Vietnam War soldier himself and a self-described Christian, said “The FBI came by and thought I was on drugs… That’s part of Christianity, love your enemies and do good to them.”

Ross was reported to the FBI by the florist, also a veteran, and he claims that much of what he does is dictated to him by the Holy Spirit, so it is probably best not to take his interpretation of events too seriously.

This concept of "loving your enemies" does not seem to have reached everyone in the United States, however.

On 10th November 2009, it was reported that police had been called to a disturbance at a shopping centre in Pleasanton, California.

A 22 year old man, Abdul Walid Hamid, was screaming anti-Christian comments and acting in a violent manner before he snatched a crucifix from around a man's neck:
Deputy District Attorney Ronda Theisen requested the bail for Abdul Walid Hamid stay at $27,000 as the 22-year-old man was arraigned Tuesday morning on charges of battery, grand theft, exhibition of a deadly weapon and a possible hate crime.

Police arrested 22-year-old Hamid of Hayward Wednesday evening after he reportedly robbed a man and scared others at Stoneridge Shopping Center.

Calling it a bizarre case, Theisen also asked that Hamid, who is still in custody, be ordered to stay out of the mall if he does post bail and leaves jail.

Through an interpreter, Hamid requested a public defender and was scheduled to appear in court at 9 a.m. Thursday where he is expected to enter a plea.

According to reports, Hamid was yelling "Allah is power" and "Islam is great" while holding a pen in a fist over his head and witnesses said he had been shouting anti-Christian comments.

Pleaanton Police Lt. Mike Elerick said the man was not provoked and didn't threaten violence, but he committed robbery when he grabbed and broke a crucifix off a man's neck.

Police said they weren't aware of a prior criminal history for the man.

"We had multiple people calling 911," Elerick said. "One female was crouching down and hiding from him. He definitely scared quite a few people."

Nothing to do with Islam, obviously! What a perplexing mystery, Deputy DA Theison - what could his motive have been? Islam is power? Allah is great? Nope, nothing to see here.

I personally feel that whilst Westerners and Christians are loving and embracing their enemies, with interpreters and public defenders if not bouquets of flowers, and Muslims are hating and attacking theirs, there can only be one outcome.

At least Muslims actually identify who their enemies are, something the vast majority of people in the modern West either cannot or will not do.

More Moderate Muslims

Whenever the spectre of Muslim terrorism and Jihad is raised, two things happen.

The person raising such questions is invariably dismissed as an "ignorant bigot", no matter how much he knows about Islam, and he is told that "moderate Muslims" will eventually win the day - if we just make the effort, concessions, etc, to reach out to them and let them know how tolerant we are.

This is flawed thinking, of course, as two recent revelations indicate.

Firstly, Osama Saeed, the founder and head of the Scottish Islamic Foundation, has been revealed as an adherent of Anwar al-Alwaki, a preacher who praised Major Nidal Hasan and the recent Fort Hood massacre in Texas.

Of course, Saeed is now back-pedalling and claiming he feels "cheated" by the cleric:

A radical Muslim cleric alleged to have inspired the Fort Hood gunman has been praised in the past as “a preacher of peace” by a prominent SNP candidate with close links to Alex Salmond.

The FBI is investigating communications between Major Nidal Hasan, who killed 13 people at the US Army base in Texas, and Imam Anwar al-Awlaki, a US-born Muslim cleric now based in Yemen. Mr Awlaki has a large following in Britain and counts prominent mainstream Muslims among his supporters.

In 2006 Osama Saeed, who has been selected as the SNP candidate for Glasgow Central for the next general election, wrote that Mr Awlaki “preached nothing but peace”.

Last night Mr Saeed, who was researcher to Mr Salmond before he became the Scottish First Minister, distanced himself from Mr Awlaki, saying that he now felt “cheated” by the cleric.

Saeed is reportedly very close to Scotland's First Minister Alex Salmond and the socialist Scottish National Party. His organisation has received British taxpayers' cash, including some before it was legally established and "entitled" to do so.

The Times also reveals that more "mainstream" British Muslims were adherents of al-Awlaki:

Despite his extremist reputation, the cleric has attracted widespread support from mainstream British Muslim groups and individuals.

Azad Ali, president of the Civil Service Islamic Society, wrote last November that Mr Awlaki was “one of my favourite speakers and scholars”.

Mr Ali, whose society’s patron is Sir Gus O’Donnell, the Cabinet Secretary, distanced himself from the cleric’s views last night. He said: “I reject them and disassociate myself from them completely.”

Of course he does, now - publicly, at least. That pension is far too lucrative to lose.

In the article's comments section, a Muslim accuses the critics of these men of hypocrisy - isn't someone entitled to change his mind?

Well, maybe - but would a former BNP member, for example, be given the same courtesy? I think not. In fact, if someone like Salmond was known to have associated with such people, that would probably be the end of his career, however innocent he was of any wrongdoing or impeccable his own credentials.

The second story to confirm the folly of 'out reach' concerns David Cameron's new, cuddly Tories. Desperate to win their share of the Muslim vote, the party sanctioned a website called the "Conservative Muslim Forum" in 2005.

Now they are A) trying to distance themselves from the project, and B) track down the man who designed it for them, because it features large chunks of text from Islam Online, written by hate preacher Yusuf al-Qaradawi, who is banned from both Britain and America and has called the slaughter of Israeli civilians "a necessary Jihad":
Officials were trying to contact the man they had employed to create the Conservative Muslim Forum's website to ask why it features chunks of text from IslamOnline, which was established by Yusuf al-Qaradawi, who was described as "dangerous and divisive" by David Cameron.

"That particular piece you mention, about charity, was, indeed, lifted from a website, but they can't tell for sure which one," says a spokesman for the Tories. "It is reasonable to assume that it is from the website [IslamOnline]. It should have been attributed."

The spokesman points out that the passage was "in line with mainstream Muslim thought".

Al-Qaradawi, who helped set up IslamOnline in 1997, has been banned from America since 1999 and from Britain since 2008 because of his extremist views.

In 2003, he expressed his support for suicide attacks against Israeli civilians, which he called a "necessary Jihad". He is held to be the unofficial leader of the Muslim Brotherhood by a number of informed authorities.

The Conservative Muslim Forum was established in 2005 to increase the Tories' understanding of Muslim issues and encourage Muslim involvement in the party.

It seems that the Conservative Party, like many of the rest of us, have genuinely failed to "understand Muslim issues" - like the fact that a significant portion of the Muslims we are "reaching out" to wish to subvert our society and our values in favour of their own.

Pandering to them only helps that, it in no way hinders it. That won't matter, however - governing our society has simply become a competition as to who can be most politically correct and who can sell us out the fastest.

Homosexual Heads in the Sand

Many of you will remember the very recent outpouring of vitriol against the Daily Mail's Jan Moir, who dared to write an article which pointed out that inviting strangers home is not necessarily part of a normal, healthy marriage.

I haven't actually read the article, nor the vast majority of the shrieking about how wicked and bigoted she is; but from what I did see, many denizons of the "gay community" stepped up to condemn her right to her own opinion as "spreading hatred" (a classic phrase used by those who wish to silence someone).

I wonder if Jan Moir's article can be held responsible for the following snippet from Court News UK:

WHITECHAPEL, LIMEHOUSE, STEPNEY GREEN, EAST LONDON. Three thugs who punched and kicked a couple in an unprovoked attack have been spared jail after blaming alcohol for their shameful behaviour. Muhamed Saleh and Mohammed Areif, both 22, and Golam Dhuha, 23, screamed 'white faggot' before laying into Matthew Hayes in Whitehcapel, east London.

No? Must be why we've heard nothing about it, then. Sounds a lot like a hate crime, to me - assuming of course the couple in question are homosexual (the article conveniently doesn't say, although from the context one would certainly assume so).

Oddly, no newspaper felt the need to report this crime. No representative of the "gay community" stepped forward to tell us how shameful it is that they were spared jail, and how such attacks are the sign of a profoundly hateful and intolerant society which must be fundamentally reformed.

It was just ignored, buried in the archives.

Now, the thugs in question may have blamed alcohol - but there is a pattern of young Muslim men attacking gay couples in most major European cities, particularly ones with large Muslim areas.

I wonder if some jolly, enlightened soul such as Stephen Fry would care to step forward and help us understand this pattern, what it means for gay people and what it means for our society - just as clearly and vehmently as he helped some of us understand what a despicable human being Jan Moir is.

Or is the safety of gay people on the streets only important for some when it is an excuse to bash traditional society and values?

That does seem to be the lesson of the future - when two protected groups clash, we must simply avert our eyes and pretend nothing has happened, lest the lies that prop up our wonderful tolerant and diverse society come crashing down around our ears.

Entire Streets Controlled by Muslim Gangs in Dewsbury

Police in Dewsbury continue to insist that parts of the town are not "no-go zones" for white people controlled by aggressive Muslim gangs.

The evidence to the contrary is mounting up, yet the authorities seem very reluctant to accept that they have a problem on their hands - after all, they are far too busy celebrating diversity and persecuting decent people for heinous offences such as standing up for themselves if attacked or feeding the ducks.

I can't say I'm hugely surprised - Dewsbury was the home town of a Muslim who escaped jail for sexually assaulting a young woman he met on a bus "because he was sexually inexperienced", an excuse the judge found perfectly reasonable.

The main problem seems to be in Savile Town. In August, The Lambeth Walk reported two very serious incidents from this area which were ignored by the national press - a large Muslim gang stoning a bus on at least two occasions, and three white boys being attacked by a gang for daring to walk through Savile Town.

Now, we have two more incidents which emanate from that area:
POLICE have insisted that Savile Town is not a “no-go area” despite two more reported attacks over the weekend.

On Saturday night a white teenage boy was attacked and beaten by a gang of Asians, some wearing masks.

The victim, thought to be about 18, was walking in Savile Road, near the old cricket ground, when he was followed by a gang of about 10 Asian youths, all wearing hoodies.

A couple driving past saw the gang following the boy and became suspicious.

By the time they had turned round the victim had been knocked to the ground and was being kicked.

The woman, aged 41, and her partner, who is 44, forced the attackers to run off.

The victim, who was bleeding from the nose, didn’t want to report the attack but the couple insisted on calling police. Officers arrived quickly and took the boy home.

The woman, who lives in Thornhill Lees, said the boy told them the gang had followed him and told him to “run”.

When he tried to ignore them they came after him and one said: “No one walks through Savile Town.”

The woman said: “If we hadn’t stopped I don’t know what would have happened.

“We wanted to make sure it was reported to the police and put down as a racist attack because that was what it was.”

That attack happened at 9.10pm on Saturday and at 4.10pm on Sunday police were called to reports of Asian youths throwing stones at passing cars in Savile Road.

Andy Cutler, 36, of Thornhill, told how his car was targeted by the yobs. He pulled up and phoned police.

While he did so another driver, also white, stopped and said the same had happened to him.

“They were just targeting white drivers,” said Mr Cutler. “As far as I’m concerned it’s racist and it needs to be reported.”

Indeed, Mr Cutler. After all, what's good for the goose...

The week before these two incidents, a 45 year old man called Robert Dyson was beaten and left nrusing cuts and bruises by a "gang of Asian youths" in Savile Town.

Before that, 14 year old Joseph Haigh was attacked with a brick and a screwdriver by a large "Asian" gang screaming racial abuse about white people, before being left for dead. Naturally, the police didn't think there was a racial motive:
A TEENAGE boy was knocked unconscious with a house brick, stabbed with a screwdriver and “left for dead” in a vicious race attack.

Joseph Haigh, 14, was savagely beaten by the gang of up to 15 Asian youths in Thornhill on Friday night.

The gang hurled racist abuse at him, constantly referring to the colour of his skin, yet police refused to classify the attack as racially-motivated.

Joseph’s dad Jonathan, 42, of Thornhill, said: “It was a racist attack.

“They were calling him ‘white trash’ and white this, that and the other.

“This is why people are angry about what is happening in this country.

“If it had been an attack by whites on an Asian lad it would have been a definite race attack. When it’s the other way round they don’t want to know.”

Joseph was out with his friends at around 9pm on Friday near Thornhill’s Rectory Park when the gang of Asians, said to be aged 18-20, came at them.

Joseph’s friends scattered and Joseph tried to make off on his bike, only to be confronted by one of the thugs who smashed him in the head with half a brick.

Mr Haigh, a lorry driver, told how that blow knocked his son unconscious and he instinctively put his hands over his face to protect himself.

Another youth lunged at him with a screwdriver while others kicked and punched him about the head.

Mr Haigh said: “They went to stab him in the face and it was only because he had his hands up that they missed.

“He was stabbed in one hand, his other hand was broken and a cut on his forehead was down to the bone.

“If they had hit him a bit harder with the house brick they could have killed him.

“They just left him for dead.”

Joseph’s teeth were also badly damaged and he may lose a tooth. His teeth were wired and he needed specialist treatment at the trauma unit at Leeds General Infirmary.

One of Joseph’s friends raised the alarm and when Mr Haigh arrived his son was laid out in a bus shelter covered in blood.

Joseph’s bike was also missing and was believed to have been stolen by the gang.

Joseph was off school all week and tensions were said to be running high at Thornhill Community Science College.

“It’s shocking what’s happened,” said Mr Haigh. “I have lived in Thornhill all my life and there were fights between whites and Asians 20 years ago. But this wasn’t braying someone and giving them a black eye, it was a vicious attack.

“You don’t go out with a house brick and a screwdriver if you’re not going to seriously hurt someone.”

Mr Haigh, who has a wife Stacey, 40, and another son James, 19, said he wanted out of Dewsbury.

“It used to be a good, thriving town but Dewsbury has got nothing to offer us anymore.”

A police spokesman said the initial police report had not classified the attack as racially-motivated but inquiries were continuing.

Well, the police have now gone to the "Asian community" and asked for assistance (whilst demonstrating who actually controls large parts of the town) - and they were obviously pleased when their actions paid dividends, and they were able to make five arrests.

So pleased, in fact, that they immediately released three of the suspects on bail!

Two of the men were charged with being involved in the attack on Robert Dyson, and appeared in court - only to be released on bail again, despite refusing to enter pleas:
Sohail Hussain, 18, and 20-year-old Ali Mushtaq both appeared from custody at Batley and Dewsbury Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.

They were charged with a racially-aggravated assault on Robert Dyson in Savile Road, Savile Town, on Friday October 23.

Hussain, of Headfield Road, Savile Town, was also charged with carrying a knuckle duster. No pleas were entered.

Mushtaq, of Deighton, Huddersfield, and Hussain were both released on conditional bail until a committal hearing on December 30.

So, despite the reassurances of Dewsbury police, it probably is best to avoid these areas if at all possible - we all know that even if caught and convicted, the culprits will not be punished, and the national media don't care about these incidents either - because the are the wrong sort of racist.

Abdelali Nachet Sentenced for Rape

Back in August I posted about the case of Abdelali Nachet, a Moroccan living in Leeds who repeatedly raped a Chinese tourist he met through the website couchsurfing.com.

Well, at the end of October Nachet was found guilty - and jailed for just ten years, despite threatening to kill the woman throughout an ordeal which lasted all through the night and was described in court as "degrading and humiliating".

The case had gone to re-trial after the jury initially failed to reach a verdict.

The really interesting part is what happened as the verdict was returned:
As the foreman read out the majority verdicts Nachet dramatically collapsed in the dock and began wailing hysterically. Security guards were forced to drag him away to the cells where he repeatedly banged his head on the floor.

Sentencing him to 10 years in prison Recorder of Leeds Peter Collier QC said: "When your partner left you, you intentionally used the couchsurfing website to attract women to your home.

"Having observed you during the course of this trial I'm satisfied you believe that you are irresistible to women."

He added that Nachet had subjected his victim to a "long and persistent
physical assault", used "emotional blackmail" and put her "through indignity after indignity violating her again and again."

He said that the sustained attack was an "abuse of trust of those who sign up to the social networking site to come and stay in your home."

As he was taken away to serve his sentence Nachet screamed: "I want to go back to my country. I want to go back to Morocco. This is not right. I want to be sentenced in Morocco. This is racist."

Obviously Britain wasn't too bad a country to live in when he was doing as he pleased here and we were paying to bring up his kid - but as soon as he's held to account for the things he's done, it's all racist.

If there were any sane people left in this country's upper echelons, he would have his request granted - I wonder how long it would take him to change his mind when he was thrown into a Moroccan prison?

But no - we'll keep on paying, for his imprisonment, for his appeals, for the next trial when he's released in 5 years' time and does it all over again.

What fools we are.

Cultural Enrichment in the National Health Service (II)

A few cases have recently come to my attention which adequately demonstrate just how diversity (and, of course, the subsequent drop in standards to Third World levels) is benefitting the NHS.

The first case is that of Iraqi dentist Hisham Al-Drouby, 61, who on Friday was found guilty of sexual harassment and now faces being thrown out of his profession (assuming the police can locate him, of course).

This wasn't just any old case of sexual harassment, however; Al-Drouby inappropriately touched a young dental nurse on several occasions, whilst asking her to convert to Islam so he could have sex with her and marry her. On at least one other occasion, he vowed to "take her as an additional wife".

Initially, the nurse put this behaviour down to "cultural differences", ignoring it until it became clear this was simply encouraging him.

Several other nurses were concerned not only with inappropriate touching and comments, but also poor standards of hygiene, as The Telegraph reports:

Al-Drouby, 61, ran his fingers up and down the dental nurse's body and while working with her at the Dental Access Centre, at the University of Southampton, it was claimed.

When the woman, referred to as Nurse A, reported him to bosses in early 2007, two other nurses claimed the Iraqi dentist had subjected them to inappropriate touching and comments.

Al-Drouby also allegedly referred to a fellow dentist as that "Indian woman next door" and breached health and safety standards by cutting his finger nails in the surgery sink.

He also wore contaminated dental cloaks, it is claimed.

On another occasion he failed to assist in the recovery of one of his patients, it is said.

Lydia Barnfather, for the GDC, said Al-Drouby joined the Dental Access Clinic, on a locum basis in May 2006.

He worked on the university's Highfield campus for a few months before going off sick.

But Ms Barnfather said nurses soon became concerned about his poor standards and strange mannerisms.

"Following his work as a locum one of the nurses raised concerns about his clinical standards - particularly his provision of local anaesthetic and infection control.

"In May 2006 he was spoke to about this but nonetheless offered a post on a substantive basis in August that year."

The GDC heard Nurse A initially put Al-Drouby's behaviour down to "cultural differences".

Al-Drouby would greet Nurse A with an air kiss but started to touch her
after becoming a full-time dentist at the university.

"He would put his hands on her knee or shoulder or waist. He would touch her back, arms and legs and try to embrace her," said Ms Barnfather.

"Initially Nurse A tried to deal with this by physically pulling away but he was undeterred.

"He soon accompanied this with highly inappropriate comments. He told her to change her faith so he could have sexual intercourse with her and take her as an
additional wife.

"He wasn't shy about expressing his religious views to others and repeatedly asked if she would have sexual intercourse with him," said Ms Barnfather.

"He would ask where she went for intercourse."

Nurse A repeatedly told the dentist to stop but his behaviour escalated, the panel heard.

Ms Barnfather said: "She can remember even in the presence of a patient him running his hands up her legs to her neck, back to the waist."

Following Nurse A's complaints, Al-Drouby made counter allegations about the woman's attitude.

He said he had to report her, as his "first consideration had to be the best interests of patients".

By then a second dental nurse, known as Nurse B, had also come forward.

Ms Barnfather said: "Nurse B can remember a number of occasions in December 2006 when she was uneasy about physical contact from the dentist.

"He came very close and rubbed her back across the bra strap.

"Again on January 8 the following year he grabbed her around the waist and attempted to hug and squeeze her."

Nurses B made a complaint to the clinical director of the surgery and was joined by a third dental nurse, who said the dentist was "verbally and physically over-familiar".

It then emerged that Al-Drouby had allegedly insulted one of his colleagues by referring to her as "that Indian woman next door".

Ms Barnfather said Al-Drouby was very familiar with the dentist and with her name, "hence the allegation that referring to her in that way was inappropriate and unprofessional".

She added that Al-Drouby was also guilty of poor communication with patients.

He also chewed gum when taking patient histories and rather than treat them would tell patients they needed to register with a general dental practitioner, it was claimed.

Ms Barnfather said his treatment amounted to "looking for the easiest and most cursory approach possible".

She said he prescribed antibiotics without examining patients, failed to warn woman about the dangers of such medication with the contraceptive pill, or warn patients about combining prescription drugs and alcohol.

On other occasions she said he failed to undergo life support training and failed to take the lead in supporting a patient who became distressed during the extraction of a tooth.

She said the man needed oxygen but Al-Drouby failed to take the clinical lead or assist in the recovery of the patient.

Ms Barnfather added that his hygiene standards contravened infection control. She said he left dental nurses to dismantle syringes, continued to wear a contaminated coat and would cut his fingernails in the surgery sink.

Despite efforts to contaact Al-Drouby both the GDC and police have been unable to locate his current whereabouts prior to today's hearing.

The dentist is accused of indecently touching Nurse A, inappropriately propositioning her about sexual relationships and challenging her to change her religious beliefs so he could have sex with her.

He faces a further 17 charges in relation to his treatment of 10 patients. These include his failure to take adequate histories; record his examinations; arrange
for appropriate radiographs; adequately record the use of local anaesthetic; and record a diagnosis.

Unfortunately, there is nothing here that is very surprising. What disturbs me more than the fact that this individual was allowed to enter and then to practice in Britain is the behaviour of the harassed nurse; so brainwashed by notions of diversity that she initially wrote off his behaviour.

His behaviour was very wrong and clearly made her uncomfortable; had the dentist responsible been British, she would have had no qualms about reporting him and getting him disciplined. Because he was foreign, she hesitated, which only encouraged him.

The worst part is that she felt no initial need to enforce her values on him, despite the fact he had chosen to come to Britain - despite acknowledging he was incredibly forthright with his own religious and cultural views and interpretations.

That is the message we have put into the minds of our people; "they" are entitled to be forthright, and we must bow down - wouldn't want to be accused of racism, after all. Best just let him keep touching you and asking you to convert and be done with it.

The second story of concern is that of 87 year old RAF veteran Hugh Jackson, who died after doctors failed to spot his broken neck and sent him home with painkillers:

A Royal Air Force war veteran was sent home from hospital after doctors failed to diagnose his neck was broken.

Hugh Jackson, 87, tripped over while picking up litter in his garden and fell head-first into an apple tree before knocking himself unconscious in May this year.

He died one month later. The great-grandfather, who had been awarded the British Empire Medal for rebuilding Vulcan planes in the RAF, spent two days in agony before deciding to call an ambulance.

Speaking after the inquest on Tuesday, Mr Jackson's eldest son, electrician Jim, 67, from Wimblington, Cambridgeshire, said his father 'deserved better.'

He claimed nurses had forgotten to replace his father's drip and left him strapped to a spine board for five days staring at the ceiling.

He was not taken to the toilet regularly and also fell out of his bed - something that could have proved lethal with his broken neck.

Jim said: 'My father had a terrible accident and from that point onwards the hospital just did not care for him properly.

"First they missed his broken neck and when they did finally diagnose it they strapped him to a board and left him on his back for five days so he couldn't eat or drink.

'He was meant to be fed through a drip but when that fell out of his hands the nurses failed to replace it - it was like a third world hospital.'

The inquest heard from Dr Rajeshwar Ranganathan, who was the first doctor to examine Mr Jackson.

He said he had not seen the break on Mr Jackson x-rays and had consulted two doctors from the orthopaedic department who had also failed to spot the break.

The consultant in charge of the Pilgrim Hospital's accident and emergency department, Mr Hussain Hassan said all possible steps were taken to treat Mr Jackson correctly.

Remembrance Day

Yesterday The Telegraph published the obituary of Wing Commander Jack Rose, who died on 10th October 2009 aged 92.

W.C. Rose was one of the few British pilots to survive action on both the first and last days of the Second World War.

In the spirit of Remembrance Day, a day to give thanks to and remember all those who have either fought or given their lives for this country, I have reproduced the tribute here.

On May 14 1940 the German Blitzkrieg broke through the Allied lines at Sedan despite the efforts, and sacrifices, of the RAF light bomber forces. The six fighter squadrons of the RAF component of the British Expeditionary Force were hard pressed to keep the German bombers and their fighter escorts from attacking British and French ground forces. Fighter reinforcements were requested and Rose flew one of the Hurricanes sent to Merville to reinforce No 3 Squadron.

He was in action immediately and on the 15th he shared in the destruction of a Messerschmitt Bf 109 as the air battle reached its climax. For the next few days the Hurricane squadrons operated at maximum intensity. During the afternoon of the 18th Rose intercepted a lone Messerschmitt Bf 110 fighter over Douai and shot it down. A few hours earlier, his elder brother Tommy, of No 56 Squadron, had been shot down and killed in his Hurricane.

The following day Rose attacked a Heinkel 111 and closed to within a few yards to shoot the bomber's port engine. Oil from the engine covered the windscreen of his Hurricane so he climbed away, slowed the aircraft down to almost stalling speed, loosened his harness, stood on his seat and leant out of the cockpit in an attempt to clean the windscreen. As he did, tracer from an enemy fighter hit his aircraft.

Seeing Rose standing in the cockpit, the German pilot claimed he had shot down the Hurricane, but Rose managed to break away. His aircraft was badly damaged but he managed a forced landing at a forward airfield where the aircraft was destroyed.

Orders were given to evacuate the Hurricanes on the 20th. Without an aircraft, Rose joined others on a French transport and was flown to England. In the 10 days of the air war, No 3 Squadron lost seven pilots killed with another taken prisoner. A further nine Hurricanes were lost.

Jack Rose was born on January 18 1917 at Blackheath, London, and was educated at Shooters Hill School before studying Science at University College London where he represented the university at rugby. He joined the RAF Volunteer Reserve in October 1938, completing his training as a fighter pilot just before the outbreak of war.

After returning from France, Rose joined No 32 Squadron and moved to Biggin Hill on August 22 as the Battle of Britain intensified. On the morning of the 25th, each pilot was issued with a pack of fluorescence, a greenish-yellow dye in powdered form, to sew on their life jacket. A pilot floating in the sea would leave a vivid stain on the surface of the water to attract searching aircraft.

While waiting at dispersal for the next scramble, Rose borrowed an outsize needle and passed the time sewing on the pack to his life jacket. Shortly afterwards, his flight was scrambled and six Hurricanes intercepted a formation of 12 Dornier 215s at 12,000ft. Rose opened fire on a bomber but an escorting Bf 109 attacked him and his aircraft was hit and became uncontrollable. He was forced to bale out, landing in the Channel.

After floating for two hours a searching aircraft from his squadron spotted the trail left by the coloured dye in the water. A ship was directed to him and he was rescued. A fellow pilot who had not sewn on his fluorescence pack also landed in the sea but was not found. Rose remained convinced that the pack had saved his life.

Rose moved to Exeter and flew many sweeps over northern France with Czech and Polish squadrons, and in October 1942 he was awarded the DFC for his courage and devotion to duty. He assumed command of No 184 squadron with Hurricanes, and a year later the squadron was re-equipped with the rocket-firing Typhoon. He attacked a wide variety of targets including shipping, coastal defences, flying bomb sites and marshalling yards.

The squadron was heavily involved in the build-up to the invasion of Normandy. At the end of June 1944, Rose led the squadron to a recently constructed landing ground near Caen allowing the Typhoons to range deeper into France where they caused a great deal of damage to German tanks and motor transports.

By the end of July, Rose had been in command of No 184 for over a year and was rested. Later in the year, he was sent to Burma to command a Hurricane squadron providing close air support for General Slim's 14th Army as it advanced on Rangoon. After the Japanese surrender he went to Penang to assist with the repatriation of the recently released Allied prisoners of war. By the end of the conflict Rose was one of the very few pilots to survive having been operational on both the first and last days of the war.

After his release from the RAF in 1946, he joined the Colonial Service. He served as a district officer in the Barotseland district of Northern Rhodesia before being promoted to district commissioner in the Kalabo region on the Angolan border. In 1950 he was appointed private secretary to the governor and three years later worked in London. He returned to Northern Rhodesia in 1956 when he was district commissioner of the Kaloma district before transferring to Lusaka where he was attached to the Police Special Branch. After two years he moved to the Chingola district, which included one the world's largest copper mines.

In 1960 Rose was seconded to be the first administrator of the Cayman Islands, where he spent four years. He commissioned a draft company law which was approved in London, passed in the island's legislature, and became law in December 1961. It provided, among other things, for "exempt companies" and very soon led to the tax haven status of the islands and a huge growth in their economy.

In 1963 Rose was appointed deputy governor of British Guiana (now Guyana). His tour was cut short at the end of 1964 when his wife became very ill.

Between 1964 and early 1979, when he finally retired, Rose immersed himself in voluntary work. The care and interest in people he had always shown throughout his careers was of particular value during his work with the Citizen's Advice Bureau in Devon and later in Oxfordshire. He was the honorary treasurer of the Red Cross in Oxfordshire. For four years from 1975 he was secretary of the Salmon and Trout Association. He was appointed MBE in 1954 and CMG in 1963.

Jack Rose, who died on October 10, was well organised, erudite and immensely knowledgeable on a wide range of topics. He married Margaret Budd in 1940. She died early in 1966. Two years later he married his sister-in-law Betty who survives him with two sons from his first marriage.

Rest in peace, Wing Commander.

Although it would be a stretch to say that modern Britain upholds the things you fought so valiantly for and is worthy of the sacrifices of you and your comrades, some of us remember, and look forward to a day when our country might be worthy of you once more.

God Bless all those who have fought and died for our country and its allies; my thoughts today are particularly with those currently serving, and the relatives of those lost to us so recently.

Interview with Lord Pearson

Lord Pearson, the UKIP peer who invited Geert Wilders to speak and show Fitna in the UK, is seen here being interviewed by the Canadian branch of the International Free Press Society.

In the video he explains just why he invited Mr Wilders to Britain, and makes some very harsh predictions about the future of England and Britain should the current trend of Islamisation and mass immigration continue:

Lord Pearson is one of the very few politicians unafraid to speak out on these issues, and for that he is to be commended. He is also part of a drive to take UKIP away from being a 'one issue party' which solely focuses on Europe to one which is noted for its opposition to mass immigration and Islamisation.

Everyone should see this video - especially any British people toying with the idea of marching for our freedom and our future tomorrow. Hopefully this will make up your mind either way.

Geert Wilders Ambushed by the BBC

Vlad Tepes has made a video using the audio from the BBC radio interview with Geert Wilders I mentioned yesterday, coupled with images of the Muslim protests against Mr Wilders' presence in London a few days later, and other Muslim riots in Europe.

The Insanity of Modern Britain

I remember watching the film Johnny English with a good friend of mine several years ago.

As we left the cinema, he commented that the film was "realistic, but only if you accept the premise that the monarch has the power to turn the entire country into a giant prison camp."

As it turns out, that was not a particularly realistic prediction of our future (and I realise it wasn't intended to be, yes) - what we actually should have feared was the government turning the entire country into a giant mental asylum.

Does that sound like cliched hyperbole? Well, maybe it does, but cliched or not the term does adequately sum up what is being done to Britain.

Take the following story (hat tip: Irish Savant):
Police are hunting an elderly letter writer responsible for sending more than 50 racially abusive letters to people across the country, including the prime minister.

The letters, some sexually explicit in content, have been sent to schools, hospitals, mosques, universities, doctors' surgeries and private individuals, leaving some recipients "extremely distressed".

According to Hampshire police, which is heading the investigation, the letters are all pro-English in content and racially inflammatory, with many appearing to have been sent in response to Daily Mail articles. All the letters are offensive and racist against a wide variety of nationalities and cultures.

The outrageous, pro-English scoundrel didn't stop there, however:

The letters regularly express anti-BBC views and accuse the corporation of racial bias, with the Scottish parliament and system also a regular target for abuse.

Commonly used phrases in the text include "English parliament", "Exit Europe", "repatriation" and "BBC shutdown".

Clippings from the Daily Mail have been included in many envelopes, which often also include cartoon drawings.

The Guardian must think Winterval has come early - a chance to slag off the Daily Mail, the "pro-English" and anyone who dares to think the BBC might be in any way biased, all within a few lines.

The person who sent these letters sounds a little disturbed, and I certainly don't condone such behaviour. But in truth, shouldn't we all be a little disturbed that one person sending letters which are "pro-English" and express non-PC views is genuinely worthy of being national news?

After all, it's not as if we live in a paradise free of crime and wrongdoing. In fact, violent crime is soaring, and most people have never felt less safe. Yet still, several police forces are investigating this "elderly letter writer", with one detective describing how hundreds of statements have been taken in an attempt to catch him.

Not to mention the hundreds of hours of man hour and hundreds of thousands of pounds it cost, I'm sure.

Meanwhile, it's business as usual on Britain's streets.

A woman was brutally attacked by a stranger whilst travelling on a London train in May 2008. Instead of taking this as evidence that Britain is now a violent, often lawless place, where people have absolutely no respect for each other and will turn nasty over the most piffling of trivialities without fear of the consequences, she is attempting to create yet another officially sanctioned victim group:
A woman who claims to have been beaten up because she is overweight is campaigning to see discrimination against fat people outlawed.

Marsha Coupe, 53 was attacked on a train by a woman who began verbally abusing her for her size.

‘I was returning home one night on a train and a woman sat across from me started kicking me and said, Hey fattie! You should not be on the train, you need two seats, she said.

Mrs Coupe, a marketing manager, was left shaken and badly bruised after the attack in May last year.

‘I had probably 30 to 40 bruises over my chest and my neck. I was terrified I was going to lose my eye.

‘London prides itself on being diverse yet there is almost a zero-tolerance on anyone of size. You cannot walk the streets without being verbally or physically assaulted.

The American who now lives in Hayes, Kent and weighs 22 stone was travelling home from London late at night in May last year when she was set upon.

She has now joined forces with a group of other women to lobby mayor Boris Johnson to make the capital more fat friendly.

This is the culture we have created. It doesn't occur to this lady that perhaps the young woman was simply looking for an excuse to attack her. It doesn't seem to bother her that no one should be treated like this by a criminal yob, for any reason or under any circumstances.

No - all that matters is creating another group it is illegal to 'discriminate' against. Does she seriously think that yet more tiresome legislation would have saved her from a beating?

Most of these thugs fear nothing and no one - they know they won't be caught, and even if they are the consequences will be negligable.

But that isn't the point; if someone is violently attacked, should the first question the authorities ask be "does the victim belong to a special victim class?"

Everyone must be equal in the eyes of the law.

We saw something similar to this a while back, when Fiona Pilkington killed herself and her disabled daughter after a gang of yobs made their lives unbearable. Despite the fact that they complained to the police a total of 32 times, nothing was done:

Although much of the abuse centred on the taunts about the children's disabilities, police failed to recognise it as a hate crime rather than simple antisocial behaviour, which would have made it a far higher priority.

The inquest heard that at the time of Pilkington's death, Leicestershire police had not implemented the Home Office guidance on hate crimes issued two years earlier.

Hinckley and Bosworth council's community officers visited Pilkington but never learned until after she was dead that anyone in the family was disabled.

Simple anti-social behaviour. That's what The Guardian calls it when someone who isn't part of a favoured victim class created for political reasons is hounded to death.

My question is, what happens to those of us who can't be part of such a group?

Geert Wilders in Britain

On Friday, Dutch politician Geert Wilders visited the United Kingdom after successfully getting the ban on his entry overturned.

His legal team managed to argue that the restrictions placed on his freedom of movement, guaranteed under European law, were arbitrary and politically motivated.

The huge Muslim protests and violence which former Home Secretary Jacqui Smith allegedly feared, and figures such as Nazir Ahmed promised and revelled in, failed to materialise - which I suppose calls her judgment even further into question.

Despite this, between 20 and 40 hardcore extremists picketed Parliament, calling for Sharia law in The Netherlands and Britain, as well as for Mr Wilders to be tried under Islamic law for "insulting the prophet".

Mr Wilders called his visit, once again at the invitation of the UKIP peer Lord Pearson, "a victory for freedom of speech".

He wished to meet the press outside in front of the Houses of Parliament, but security officers apparently advised him that his tendency to provoke adherents of the Religion of Peace meant this was most unwise - they couldn't guarantee his safety, in other words, in the middle of London and the alleged centre of Britain's democracy.

It's very important that we recognise just who the violent extremists are in all this. Wilders was being victimised not because of his own behaviour, but because of the potential for others to commit widescale violence as a result of their disagreement with certain opinions:

However, on Tuesday the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal ruled there was no evidence to suggest he represented a real and serious threat to the "fundamental interest" of society.

The judges said that even if there had been evidence, it would still have been wrong to turn him away because in the event of any trouble the police would have been able to deal with it.

The Home Office said Mr Wilders' statements and behaviour during his visit "will inevitably impact on any future decisions to admit him".

Officials say his case differs from that of a larger number of individuals - including Islamic extremists and white supremacists - who are on a list of people excluded from Britain for "unacceptable behaviour".

The power to impose such exclusions was introduced in 2005, following the London bombings, and applies predominantly to non-EU nationals who would seek to "foster hatred or promote terrorism".

Yes, it's a shame that the behaviour and views of those Islamic protesters isn't enough to kick them out - but, as usual, their right to commit sedition or treason trumps our right to live in a safe society.

Here is one of these poor oppressed lambs inciting murder against Mr Wilders, and celebrating the violent deaths of other notable critics of Islam such as Theo van Gogh - it's a shame the police were watching for Mr Wilders to slip up so very closely, because otherwise they might have caught this:

I will be forwarding this video to the Metropolitan Police, and I would encourage any like-minded readers to do the same.

The day before his arrival in Britain, Mr Wilders appeared on BBC Radio 5 Live, where host Victoria Derbyshire took the opportunity to make sure he was shouted down by Muslims.

All the callers had what Al Murray would call "good British names": Shaz, Mohammed, Mahmood...

Obviously no actual British people wished to take the opportunity to interact with Mr Wilders - question him, congratulate him, criticise him, and there are a lot of angry and confused Muslims out there who aren't used to not getting their own way.

Callers often shouted over and interrupted Mr Wilders, accused him of saying things which he has not, and treated us to many lengthy diatribes about how Islam is tolerant, logical, practical, scientific, and generally equal to the Judeo-Christian West - despite the fact all of them choose to live here, of course.

You can listen to the clip here (second segment, about 38 minutes in), but it expires in two days - if anyone can record and YouTube it, please let me know.

Finally, here is Mr Wilders' Friday press conference from the House of Lords:

"Asian" Gangs Running Car Crash Scam

Criminal Asian gangs have found a new way to make money in parts of England - deliberately causing car accidents, sometimes serious ones, and then fleecing the other party's insurance company.

From The Irish Sun:

Pakistani, Afghan and Bangladeshi criminal gangs in Britain are staging deliberate car accidents in order to claim their victims' car insurance money, police say.

In what has been dubbed a 'cash for crash' scam, the organised gangs, operating primarily in Yorkshire, Lancashire and the suburbs of London, are said to be costing the British insurance industry about 350 million pounds a year.

The modus operandi of the gangs appears to be to move closely in a convoy of two cars - the first car suddenly brakes very hard, as does the second, forcing the targeted victim's car to crash into the rear of the second car, police said.

The perpetrators then make a fraudulent car crash claim to their victim's insurance company for damages to their vehicle and for personal injuries, such as whiplash - real or not.

Some fraudsters have claimed for injuries to persons not even present in the vehicle.

Ten such gangs operate in northwest London alone, and the daily count of staged accidents could be up to 20, London police inspector Nick Chalmers told BBC Asian Radio.

According to an Insurance Fraud Bureau report issued in July this year, incidents of criminally staged, fake car accidents are on the increase.

The cost to the industry is passed on to all drivers, not just the victims.

According to the Association of British Insurers, all bogus claims - including those made in 'cash for crash' scams - can add five percent, or 44 pounds, to the insurance premiums of law-abiding motorists.

A two-year investigation by Hertfordshire police, called Operation Mysterious, resulted in one gang receiving a total of 10 years in jail earlier this year.

'Innocent members of the public are being involved in serious collisions by criminal gangs just to make money. It is putting them and other road users seriously at risk,' Chalmers told Sky News.

In other - and I'm sure totally unrelated - news, it has been announced that Bradford is proportinally Britain's capital in terms of uninsured motor vehicles, closely followed by the West Midlands.

"Stocky Asian" Punches Teenage Girl in Burnley

From The Lancashire Telegraph:

A TEENAGE girl lost a tooth in a fight in a car park.

The 19-year-old had it knocked out following an ‘altercation’ in the Burnley Mechanics car park early on Saturday.

A man had approached a car and had an argument with the people inside.

Detectives said when the teenager got out to protest, she was punched in the face by the man. A 32-year-old man was arrested at the scene and later bailed.

Det Sgt Ian McLean, from Burnley CID, appealed for information to the incident, which occurred at around 4.30am.

The attacker is described as a stocky Asian. His T-shirt was ripped during the fight. Call DC Julie Leigh on 01282 472282 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

Human Trafficking Gang Raided in Hounslow

From The Hounslow & Chiswick Guardian:

Members of a suspected human trafficking gang were arrested today after immigration officers raided a string of homes across Hounslow.

Seven men were arrested from 10 addresses across Hounslow, Isleworth, Feltham and Southall after a nine-month covert investigation by the UK Border Agency.

Gang members are suspected to have trafficked Afghans illegally into Heathrow and then told them to claim asylum.

All seven men, British nationals aged between 34 and 67, are being held on suspicion of facilitating a breach of the immigration laws.

Officers seized computer equipment from a number of homes and are examining hard drives for evidence.

UK Border Agency’s Heathrow director Philip Astle said: “We believe that we have disrupted a significant international organised criminal network, which aimed to assist people to enter the UK illegally.
“Today’s operation is the result of an extensive investigation involving both the UK Border Agency and Met Police. That investigation continues.

“The UK Border Agency has had significant success in disrupting trafficking activity. Working with our law enforcement partners we are determined to create a hostile environment for organised criminals who prey on vulnerable immigrants, and take action against those who break the law.”

Those arrested are now being questioned at a police station in west London.

The UK Border Agency estimate three-quarters of illegal immigration is associated with organised crime.

Through close working with police, it is working to identify and disrupt organised immigration crime including human trafficking, fraud and forgery.

Notice that whilst they lament the gangs preying on 'vulnerable immigrants', they don't mention how they prey on our society. Who must raise and educate the children of these 'vulnerable immigrants', put up with gangs of their youth harassing women and passersby, pay for their elderly to use the NHS?

Here is one of the British nationals described in the article being led away by police:

Heroin Smugglers Jailed

From The Telegraph & Argus:

Two men have been jailed for a total of 23 years for a cunning and sophisticated plot to smuggle £500,000 of heroin into the country woven into carpets.

The drugs ring was foiled when a spike was driven into rolled carpets by Customs officials at Heathrow Airport.

Ansar Mahmood, 42, of Hollings Road, Girlington, Bradford, was imprisoned for 12 years. Bradford Crown Court heard his role in the conspiracy was to take delivery of heroin parcels at his home.

Hamid Khan, 31, of Burnley, described by the judge as UK controller of the drugs ring, was locked up for 11 years.

He pleaded guilty to conspiring to import Class A drugs between January 1 and April 25 last year.

Mahmood denied the charge and was convicted by a jury in July.

Judge Jonathan Rose told the men they were motivated by personal greed.

He said: “Each of you played an active and significant role in the importation of a very large amount of heroin into the UK for onward distribution and sale.”

Mahmood was found guilty on overwhelming evidence and had shown no remorse.

Judge Rose said the men’s wives, both left caring for young children, were having to pay for their greed and criminality. [Surely he means the British taxpayer? - Ed.]

Prosecutor Tom Storey said four consignments, totalling almost ten kilograms of heroin, were seized.

The first package, containing three sets of rolled carpets, was posted in Kyrgyzstan, addressed to H Khan at Mahmood’s home.

Customs officials at Heathrow Airport found fine plastic tubes packed with 7.35 kilograms of heroin woven into the carpets. The drug had a street value of £368,000. It took investigators two weeks to unpick the drugs from just one rug.

Undercover police officers delivered dummy packages of carpets to Mahmood on April 22 last year.

Minutes after his arrest, another parcel turned up at the address, Mr Storey said. Posted in Islamabad, it contained 123 pouches of heroin hidden in a jacket lining.

A third parcel, marked “return to sender” was posted to Pakistan from Bradford. It was intercepted at Leeds Parcelforce depot on its way to Hollings Road with 56 pouches of heroin concealed in a fleecy jacket lining.

The fourth consignment was also “return to sender”.
It was posted in Burnley to Attock in Pakistan and seized in Coventry on its way
back.

It was packed with eight containers of Johnson’s Baby Powder stuffed with heroin.

Mr Storey said Khan’s phone was contaminated with heroin showing he may have been concerned in packing the drug.

Khadim Al’Hassan, Mahmood’s barrister, said he was paid £110 to take delivery of the carpets. Unable to read or write, he was a man of modest means at the bottom of the enterprise.

Yunus Valli, for Khan, said he was not a main player. He was a shopfitter who ran a car sales business.

After the case, Detective Inspector Pete Darbyshire, of West Yorkshire Police Crime Division, said: “We welcome the sentences passed today and hope they send out a strong message that the importation of drugs into West Yorkshire will not be tolerated.

“The methods of concealment used to import the heroin were very sophisticated. However, thanks to the vigilance of those who monitor what enters the country, the drugs were taken out of circulation and the conspirators’ plan thwarted.”

Jamaican Criminal Deported Wearing Electronic Tag

It seems even when the British authorities get it right, they still get it wrong.

Take the case of Jamaican Donovan Baker, released early from a jail sentence for fraud and possession of cocaine.

As is standard, Baker was fitted with a tamper-proof electronic tag to monitor his movements - despite the fact he was taken straight to an immigration detention centre and actually deported back to Jamaica.

He is now demanding to be returned to Britain to have the tag removed - all at our expense, naturally.

Whilst he is here perhaps he can visit his two children, who we are paying to bring up in Croydon.

From The Sun:

IMMIGRATION officers deported a drugs con to Jamaica with his electronic tag still ON.

Now Donovan Baker, 36, is demanding to be flown BACK here at taxpayer expense to have it removed.

He claims he repeatedly told staff at Colnbrook detention centre, near Heathrow, that the device was still on his ankle - but they forgot to take it off.

Baker, who spent ten months in jail for possession of cocaine and fraud, has tried for a fortnight to rip off the tamper-proof tag.

He said: "There's nothing in Jamaica to take it off. I have to come back. I'm not walking around with this on for the rest of my life."

British High Commission officials in Kingston will see if it can be removed.

Baker was arrested with cocaine in 2001 but fled for six years.

He was caught last year when fraudulently applying for a driving licence.

He got the tag on early release from a 2½-year jail term.

Partner Tencey Coore, 39, his two kids and four step-children remain in Croydon, South London.

Immigration in Italy: Dreams Vs. Reality

Reuters last week carried a puff piece about how immigration benefits Italy, whilst dismissing legitimate fears over a rise in violent crime and being highly critical of Italy's new immigration reforms, which make being or helping an illegal immigrant a criminal offence.

For example; the fact that violent crime has risen by 17% in Italy since 2004 is apparently only a problem because Silvio Berlusconi's Northern League "whipped up fear" about it. Obviously, such things just aren't worthy of note unless you're on the far-Right.

If you believe that Italian left, then the reforms are evil. What is really needed, explain the Socialists, is to give immigrants (legal or otherwise) the vote - only that will completely end "racism and xenophobia" (i.e. observing reality and formulating policy accordingly) in Italian politics - not to mention completely destroy Italy as we know it, but you can't have everything, can you?

The Catholic Church compares not rescuing African asylum seekers at sea or towing them to Libya to "ignoring the Holocaust" (and let's be honest, they should know - when in Rome and all that).

Now we've established that Italians thinking the goodthink is more important than the existence of Italy itself, we are in a suitable place to ooh and aah because a team comprised of Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi immigrant children recently won an under-15 cricket competition:

Mass immigration, unheard of 20 years ago, is fast changing society. Last month an Italian team of children of migrants from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh won an under-15 European cricket title, making headlines and winning praise from politicians like Fini.

The team, some of whom face deportation unless they receive citizenship, dedicated the victory to Northern League leader Bossi.

"This is the first European title in the history of Italian cricket," said Italian Cricket Federation President Simone Gambino. "It shows immigrants bring prestige to our country, not just problems."
No - it shows that if a country imports large numbers of people who play cricket, some of them will, er, play cricket.

Of course, whether or not this change is desirable is the big question - but it is one that cannot be asked, let alone answered. Obviously, if one does not feel that such changes are desirable, then one is a racist, a Nazi, a knuckle-dragger.

The Left pretend there are two options - but you know you can really only pick one, lest the shrill screams begin.

Speaking of the downside of immigration to Italy, here is but one good example; a feminist politician punched in the face whilst protesting against the burqa as a form of oppression to women:

MILAN: Italian female politician protesting burquas punched by muslim in scuffle. (hat tip Adam)

Santanche is currently running a campaign in Italy to expose the burqua and veil as oppressive to women. She took the fight to the front line today, entering a muslim 'prayer meeting' and asking to speak to some women to tell them they were being oppressed by a male-dominated regime masquerading as a religion, and was subsequently attacked.

Google translation here.

Daniela Santanchè, leader of the Movement for Italy, was attacked and hit with a fist while expressing, in front of the Steam Factory in Milan, against the entry of women in burqas who came to celebrate the end of Ramadan. The riot police intervened and planning is identifying the assailant.

The Santanchè - has long engaged in a battle for integration and against Islamic

Santanche03G

fundamentalism - had arrived this morning with the intent to prohibit the entry of women in burqas. In recent days Santanchè had appealed against the burqa as an act of solidarity and witness for the tragic death of the young Sanaa killed by her father for his affair with an Italian boy. Before the riots, inter alia, had told reporters: "The Italian law forbids that turns his face covered and must be respected.

I do not blame these poor women but with whom he sends and subdues. The burqa is a humiliation for women. Not by chance even in France - has continued Santanchè - are passing a law to prevent their use. The burqa is like female circumcision because they are instruments to cancel its deepest identity. "

The event continued in an atmosphere of great tension Some protesters also ripped a street sign trying to hit the group of protesters who were with Santanchè. Challenged the decision of the organizers who initially tried to bring women with burqa from a rear entrance. The Santanchè entered into a climate of tension escorted by police and demanded to speak with some women. Members of the Muslim community have condemned the attacks and insults towards the Santanchè but they also claimed the right of their women to wear the burqa.

I wonder how many international news agencies covered this? Surely there must have been at least one...

A Comment from Yvonne Ridley

Muslim convert Yvonne Ridley has left a rather weak comment on one of my posts about her (with thanks to reader Ben for actually noticing).

Whilst she accuses me of defaming her, she does not tell me which statements (all gleaned from web research, including her own Wikipedia page) are allegedly false, or attempt to challenge them with anything other than threats, and thus they stand.

The comment is very boring, but fits a pattern - telling the truth about Islam constitutes spreading hatred, and not bowing to the idle threats of the apologists and shills of the spread of Islam in the West constitutes a "smear campaign".

The original intention of the post was to highlight the fact that Ridley pretends to be an ordinary, educated Englishwoman who discovered the truth and beauty of Islam after being captured and then released by the Taliban in Afghanistan whilst working as a journalist.

She went on a university speaking tour to spread that message - but it is false. Ridley was dabbling in anti-West, far-Left and radical Islamic politics long before she went to Afghanistan - she married and had a daughter with a PLO colonel she met in Cyprus in 1992.

Whatever she pretends, this is hardly the life of the ordinary, provincial Englishwoman.

Ridley sees Islam for what it is - a very useful tool for undermining the West, particularly Israel. When one looks at her views, conversion seems a natural progression.

I am not going to stop pointing that out, and she can make as many threats as she likes.

News on Lisbon from Ireland

On 2nd October 2009, the people of Ireland will be given their second opportunity to vote on The Treaty of Lisbon, i.e. the European Constitution Mark II.

The very fact that they have to vote again after rejecting the treaty (which must be ratified by all EU member states to become binding) speaks volumes, but many predict that this time the 'yes' campaign could clinch the deal.

The economic crisis and the idea that Ireland would be cast out of the European Union in every meaningful sense if they vote no a second time seems to have somewhat overshadowed the flagrant bullying and double standards meted out since the people last spoke their minds.

Most of the threats are implicit; "What would Ireland's place in Europe be if it rejected the Treaty a second time?"

Never mind the right of the Irish people to decide the fate and direction of their own nation. Never mind the blood spilt in the struggle for Irish sovereignty, independence, freedom, nationhood. Never mind that the voters of France and The Netherlands have already rejected the thing, resoundingly, when given the opportunity.

This time, once more, the Irish are the only voters in the entire EU who get a democratic say on the ratification of a document which purports to 'tidy up' the EU's powers, but will actually see powerful centralisation and further integration occur.

We have already had an unelected Prime Minister speak on our behalf, despite promising a referendum on the Treaty.

Despite all of this, as I said, many have predicted the 'yes' side have it all sewn up this time. Of my two Irish friends, one is in favour of 'yes' and already jubilant at the scent of victory, and the other favours 'no' - but still thinks it is a lost cause.

But is it? The latest poll results look promising:

A new opinion poll shows that there has been a massive surge in support for the No side, which, if it holds till voting day would result in the Lisbon Treaty being heavily defeated by a margin of 59% NO ‘V’ 41% YES.

In one of the largest polls of its kind ever carried out: Gael Poll polled 1,500 respondents in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Waterford, Kilkenny, Galway, Athlone, Tralee, Dundalk and Letterkenny over the course of six days last week. The respondents were asked one single question: How do you intend to vote in the Lisbon Treaty Referendum?

A substantial 723 (59 %) said they intended voting No as opposed to 502 (41%) who indicated that they would vote Yes. The survey also showed that 15% percent of voters were still undecided. When pollsters discounted the don't knows: an overwhelming 59% of people would vote No in the referendum as opposed to 41% who indicated that they would vote Yes.

The last Gael Poll which was published in the Irish Sun (June 4th 2008)
accurately predicted that the Lisbon Treaty would be defeated by a margin of 54 % for the No side versus 46% for Yes campaigners.

On the day of the count -which took place nine days later- the actual result was 53.4% No and 46.6 % Yes.

The uncanny poll prediction which was out by only a half a percent was the
most accurate poll in the country.

It seems there is certainly cause for hope.

For any undecided Irish voters who may stumble across this, I urge you to watch Daniel Hannan's appeal to the people of Ireland:

I too have faith in the outcome - the people of Ireland know more than most the price of freedom and the cost of servitude.

Thoughts on Germany

As I continue to settle in here and get used to my new surroundings, I thought I would share some of my impressions and experiences so far.

First of all, since my last stay here (which came to an end about two and a half years ago), the number of "visible minorities" has increased dramatically. I am not in a major city and live in a fairly rural state in the north of the country, so this has come of something of a shock even to me.

But the trend is unmistakable. Even this small city could now compete with Berlin or Hamburg, proportionally, in the diversity and enrichment stakes.

It is interesting to compare the behaviour of these obviously unassimilable Third World immigrants with that of their German hosts. As my regular readers will know, I am not one to perpetuate a stereotype unless it contains a healthy dose of truth, and many of those we have about the Germans do.

Generally speaking, this is an orderly, efficient and well run country. It feels different to Britain, because the people here are not (or don't seem to be) at the stage where they let the state do everything for them - they try to enforce their values themselves.

For example; if you wait at a pelican crossing and the lights are red but there are obviously no oncoming vehicles, you will observe that German people still do not cross.

They wait until the lights change to green.

It can be fascinating to watch this; every instinct I have tells me to just hurry across whilst I have the chance - but I make myself wait, partly to observe, and partly because it is illegal to cross against the lights - and ordinary people, from pensioners to children, will call you on it without fear, whereas most modern British people would cast their eyes down, for fear of a beating or worse.

The point I am making here is that behaviour as well as such things as appearance can mark one out as a foreigner here without much difficulty.

As I arrived at the main railway station, a school party disembarked from the train in front of me and stepped on to my platform. All appeared to be German, except for three pupils who were either African immigrants or the descendants of such.

It really was a life lesson to watch these three individuals create complete havoc where there was none before. They walked differently from their classmates, spoke differently, shouted for no reason, pushed the boys, pulled the girls' hair, answered the teachers back, ran when they were told to walk - you name a problem, and they created it on behalf of the whole class, much to the (silent) chagrin of everyone in that section of the station.

It seems astounding that people as careful about the trivialities as the Germans can let such serious and far reaching transformations occur on their watch.

It was clear, observing this group, that these three boys would never fit into that class. That being said, how then can they fit into normal German society - without irrevocably damaging it?

Today, I and several other passersby were accosted by a large gang of African and Turkish/Arab "youths", to use the correct English code, for no reason at all other than being in the street and minding our business.

As heartwarming as it was to see true multiculturalism in action as the lowest of these 'communities' banded together to harass innocent people, no one seemed to appreciate the presence of these enrichers, and once they had left several people (mainly elderly) were not shy about saying as much.

I have noticed that people here tend to be slightly less brainwashed than in Britain when it comes to these issues - many will openly admit there are huge problems or at the very least that they see a downside to what officially must be worshipped.

This is balanced by the fact that events in the past mean their mind will only allow them to go to a certain point before the 'crimethink' kicks in; discussion of topics such as the catastrophically low birth rate among ethnic Germans or the fact that certain minorities are clearly never going to assimilate en masse are too controversial for polite society. The very idea that the Germans have a right to exist unmolested in their own land can be seen as provocative and taboo, when taken beyond a very cursory opening position.

I keep coming back to this conclusion; whilst many Germans seem more willing to identify the problem than their British counterparts, their history means no real solution can ever be forthcoming. No one wants to stick their head above the parapet, because the accusation of Nazism is not just a vicious/childish slur here - it carries much legal weight.

This discussion is all the more interesting because here it is Superwahljahr - election season. Whilst "conservative" Mrs Merkel is tipped to be re-elected, most state legislatures and the federal government are up against the public vote on 27th September.

This is taken quite seriously here - curiously the state seems to take charge of the furore, and rather than seeing private citizens put up signs and banners for their preferred candidate, every lamp post becomes adorned with party and candidate posters.

I left my building to go shopping this evening to find that the posters of the NPD, the Nationaldemokratische Partei Deutschlands, had all been torn down, cut up and thrown into the gutter.

This party stands accused of neo-Nazism, and whilst I certainly don't know enough about it to endorse it, the party leadership denies these claims.

It has slogans such as 'German jobs for German workers', is very much against mass immigration and the asylum racket, and its only remotely mainstream position seems to be pulling German troops out of Afghanistan (an issue on which it is united with the far-Left, along with hatred of Israel and the insistence of a "Holocaust" in Gaza).

In a country where democracy is taken quite seriously, it is a real shame that Leftist political violence and intimidation like this is tolerated.

All parties are entitled to a voice - the socialists, the greens, Die Linke, Mrs Merkel's CDU - so why not the NPD?

If they genuinely hold abhorrent views, defeat them with logic and reasoned argument, rather than thug tactics and tantrums.

But that really is too much to ask, isn't it?

If things keep going as they are, I fear it will be Germany which ends up in the gutter - and that is a conclusion I am loathe to reach.

***UPDATE*** 18th September 09.55

I have found some more articles on the NPD linked via their Wikipedia entry. Of particular interest is this article, which claims that a majority of Germans believe that the NPD is undemocratic and a threat to Germany's image (presumably it was some of these people who took the next logical, democratic step in ripping up their campaign posters).

Fair enough, but I wonder if the same people would say that about the Leftists who recently rioted in Hamburg, for example?

I sincerely hope so, because hypocrisy is an ugly thing - perhaps not quite so much as political violence and extremism, but almost.

Light Posting - in Germany

I haven't forgotten about the blog - things have been a bit hectic here as I get myself organised, however.

Thanks to everyone who has wished me well; if you have left news tips, I promise I will get to the important stuff eventually, and if you spot anything else that seems interesting, feel free to get in touch.

Normal service should resume at the end of the week.
