A JCB ploughed into a police car in Jerusalem today, at about 13:30 Israeli time, apparently whilst attempting to ram a bus. The driver picked the police car up, attemtped to crush it, then dragged it along for several yards.
A taxi driver and patrolling police officers shot the terrorist driving the vehicle dead.
The two officers in the car were lightly hurt in the attack. One was treated at the scene and the other required hospital treatment.
Hamas praised the attacker soon after the events took place.
